[2.2] Inquisitor Crit Grenadier (Trap) build theorycraft [95% crit, budget friendly, SC]

what i understood by reading all replies is that since it almost doesnt touch the ground it just trigger, the enemies wont be able to trigger the traps and the node gives power charges IF the traps are triggered by enemies, its just too fast, doesnt trigger, too nab to explain sry, u can always wait for a more complex/better answer, or read all replies :P
@what auras can be used with this build?

Clarity is pretty much needed for traps, every other aura you wish to use you can.
That being said I think Arctic armor could be useful for kiting enemies (chilled ground) and a Purity Aura while leveling is nice also.

Trapers don't really need that much auras compared to other classes.

@Ryuda

It should still give charges via blast cascade if enemies are near the trap, it just isn't consistent enough to keep them up 100% of the time.

Sorry for neglecting the thread a bit, not running this as my first build since I wanted to try out melee again first :P

@tululum

Good to hear mate! I only tested it on standard so far but I figured it shouldn't be too hard in temp leagues as a starter build.

Yeah just hit level 64. I rushed thru all merciless acts to Act 4. Currently farming dried lake without problems even tho my resist are all negative (saving up for decent gear thru farming dried lake) but as I said - I rock anyway and that says something about build potential. DPS is awesome, voll is down in about a minute. Only problems I have are blue groups of perandus watchers - if there is like 30 of them I am down in matter of milliseconds. But I can "run & trap" to kill even those.

I might upload some video and stats later when i get better gear if anyone would be interested to know how this does as first build in temp league.

I would love to see a video mate, since my computer can't handle the strain of recording software (i tried and the best i could do is a 30 or less fps record and I doubt people would enjoy watching that ._.)

And yeah those perandus bastards can be tough at times, last time I fought one the unique guard was even possessed.
Needless to say I wasted all my flasks in order to kill that group.

Started the new league with this build - thanks for theory crafting it!

Just hit lvl 60 and swapped to shock nova. It's been working great so far and is very budget friendly.

Here is my gear so far if anyone is curious

Ice Trap only has 5% base crit

Hmm guess they changed it before release then :<

Anyway it's still a good pick, and alternative is always to run Trap + Ice Nova.

Hey, I'm actually running this build and despite some early struggles having a blast with it! Thanks for posting. I was wondering if you could update the tree so that I could have something to base off of?
Link to passive skill tree seems to be broken :(
