ZiggyD Reveals the Scion Ascendancy Class: The Ascendant

OMG GGG !!!
If we analyze it based on pure numbers.
Having other start unconnected to the main char. That saves usually how many points? 5-7 to connect the dots to the middle? So 2 ascendancy points = about 6 passives nods on awerage. That's quite a lot if you think about some build that travels accross the whole tree.
But i would not call that Op. Some normal classes have pretty good sinergies for 6 efficient points in ascendancy class.

@GGG: can we get the promo page updated with all recently released data? I was "forced" to watch ZiggyD's video but i don't want to look at it more

Path of scion it is then....rip all other classes?

Hah. Funny man.

Unless you have a wildly original build making the most out of combining two mini-ascendancies in an original way or one mini-ascendancy and treehopping, you will be better off playing another character, taking the subclass that is most in tune with your build's strengths or covers its weaknesses (depending on your preference), and picking three strong major ascendancy nodes.

This Scion ascendancy class is the death of traditional Scion builds that try to specialize, because the other characters' subclasses are so much better at specialization.
Scionic Flametank 3.2: The classic ES-CI-ZO-GR regeneration tank is back in business, stronger than ever before with 50-60% ES/s recovery during most fights due to creative use of regeneration, leech, and recovery mechanics

Nice class. finally we can play some lifebased shadow builds!

this class may be op in some way, but first of all it gives a huge amount of variation to this game, and that counts.

Get we get a proper picture/overview of the actual Ascendancy tree? Jesus.... These worthless fucking video "releases".
Path of Scion ???
So from this we finally get confirmation that there's a few things that GGG defintely DOESN'T want us to be able to do -

1) They REALLY don't want to allow us have internal cross-Ascendancy capabilities i.e. being able to allocate, say, points in two different Ranger ascendancies. Neither the Ranger nor the Scion (even with her gimped versions) can do that.

2) They're only willing to allow external cross-Ascendancy capabilities in a very limited form - the Scion has just a couple of gimped nodes and none of the other classes can use off-class Ascendancies at all, not even at a cost of some sort (like, say, needing to connect with other classes' starting nodes to gain access to their Ascendancy classes or only getting 50% power from off-class Ascendancy passives).

I guess their balance team determined that those options were potentially too powerful or something. K. At least now we have confirmation of their intent here and so the speculation can end. Not as many build options opened up as there could have been, but still an overall improvement in the number of build options available as compared to the present. Guess we'll make do. I'm looking forward to seeing what people come up with.
Totally below average. I mean, balancing it with reduced stat., changing 100% block applie to spell block are a-OK; replacing the "more" to "increase" like the DEADEYE make it completely unusable.
I can see a sharp drop on Scion number a week after this launched.
I am sure some GG builds will be created using scion(and start point leap)- but from the looks of it - it isn't too powerful, tbh. They don't get many high powered things like pure classes get in their ascendancy trees.
I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all.
