Just for the record, the minor nodes for the other Ascendancy classes are worth 2-3 skillpoints each. If you need what they bring you on the way to the major nodes you pick up, and mostly you will as they address the same gameplay mechanics as the major nodes they lead to, those minor nodes are much better than getting 1 free skill point.
