Leap Slam full garbage, worst movement skill in game!

Actually, reading this again, reminded me that there is still 1 movement gem tht pretty much everyone has forgot about, I don't even remember seeing this gem drop anymore, brain prob unconsciously filters it as trash lmfao......*drum roll*

And the mystery gem is...
Shield Charge

Would be pretty neat if they just reworked it; change it to just "Charge" or some other name...allow it to work with 2 handed...make it more swift than it is now...bring it closer to what it was like on D2 paladins..now that would be an awesome movement skill to have, but that is of course never gonna happen *insert sad face here*
In all seriousness, I'd be okay with Shield Charge if it was a carbon copy of Flame Dash, except it dealt weapon damage instead.

Well, for players, anyway. Might be kind of obnoxious on blackguards.

I don't think it would be too bad with the new 'group skill use' AI, which can be tweaked accordingly. Some enemies have that kind of shield charge, like guardian of the west or snoopy from daresso's dream. It has some AoE but it's strongly telegraphed and even if it hits it isn't so bad because it doesn't seem to have the distance scaling like regular shield charge nor long range so they can't charge you offscreen.

I'd probably give all shielded enemies in the game and players that kind of shield charge, and let just rhoas keep the old one.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Leap Slam, Shield Charge as other dead skills should be and require rework, but that never happen as they busy creating new Ranger, totem, spells overpowered and totally broken unbalanced.

I start to think melee wont see any buffs in Ascendancy expansion at all... worst team or just clear hateful offend to melee, not idea why but there two reason both suit new meta.

Just check assendennannasy classes. Melee is killed there. Even with Champion class it's better go to TS/Armor build.

Btw my ranger is faster then 99% of players I played with, only with movement speed and no armour penality.

Movement skills should be for emergency gtfo only.

Yeah, i do agree blink arrow is better than all other movement skills by a wide margin (surprise surprise, GGG favoring bows), but as far as melee goes WB blows leapslam out of the water, which really does a huge disservice to 2handers (and 1h axe/mace types) that have been in a pretty awful spot for a damn long time with no signs of light at the end of the tunnel.

It didn't feel great even before GGG gutted the range, and then they went and made it worse... there's a reason i use flickerstrike as my movement skill on 2handers (while keeping a leapslam in the back set for cliffjumping convenience and whatnot): even jumping directly at opponents is better for saving your neck than using a slow, clunky leapslam away.

Agree, best in game Movement Skill: blink arrow - free decoy totem + free extra dmg; INSTANT TELEPORT without any ANY time + 100% work with low ping or lockstep.

About Leap Slam, it was always worst, even before nerf, but after nerf it was impossible useless and bad. UNPLAYABLE! So, maybe make WB global? SO other weapon would use it too?

I would reduce the damage of Leap Slam to 50% at lvl1 and add a stun with increased stun duration to it. This would make leap slam more viable as a offensive manoeuvring skill, allowing you to jump into a group and start sweep/ice crash/whatever with that short stun moment to do a warcry and/or have your attack be the first strike.
