I felt Boem explained it well, though (in fact, rather wonderfully), in a follow up to my not-so-successful attempt of trying to explain it from the topic starter's perspective. Not that I know whether the original poster meant it that way. Cheating is a poor choice of word, admittedly.

I for one wouldn't want to play the endgame without poetrade anymore.

You just need to hit certain breakpoints in your gearstats, especially as melee, to make progress. And these are almost impossible to meet when playing self-found, which i would prefer in an ideal world... strangely enough.

Then again, one, especially the operator, might want to revaluate their philosophy. Perhaps even GGG should do so, considering that fundamentally speaking, all we do with trading is exchanging value, a means to an end = to progress at first, or acquire more riches.

To the point:

Poetrade (trading in general) is cutting down the incredible amount of grind which would otherwise be needed to progress - players make x amount of currency on average, BUT do not necessarily find the items they need to progress. It's just mandatory...

So to me poetrade/forum-trading is working fine and well enough, it's kind of a tradeoff between two extremes.

If one wants a hardcore, truly hardcore experience, then just stop trading? Would be cool to have a consistent self-found league actually, which has been requested numerous times already, right?

All self-found... I swear!

I played self found but RNG (to say it clear the variance [probability theory]) was not with me me. So i buy two items and two gems (poe.trade). But it is not ok.


I see two ways for GGG:

1) An AH and i mean it as a preamble. I don't wish to auction - i wish to buy and sell with out poe.trade. There are many bots ...
2) Make PoE only self found and eliminate ways to buy or sell items with somthing like poe.trade.

In both cases I will give PoE a second chance.

GGG, please! Hear out this man! If you do not do what he says, he will not give your game a second chance!

Dude. Really. Learn to use poe.trade for time being and wait for SoonTM trade rework as everyone else. If you want to quit because you don't like current trade, just quit. Your silly "demands" won't make any difference.
