The Winter Mystery Box - Including New and Exclusive Microtransactions!
" While i like your logic a lot and i find what you propose moral, unfortunately this cannot apply to this company who earns their "living" from this exact strategy. It's the same feeling i get about the church, doing bussiness and hiding behind the innocent face of charities and communication with the public. As long as people fall for this strategy of boxes, they have no reason to change it. It's a capitalistic world we live in. They can always buff incinerate if there are many reactions and all will be good. Last edited by PsOfOs#5592 on Dec 18, 2015, 1:04:44 PM

" Considering you do like the Wolves and I doubt they will sell below 150 points EACH you win ;) |

So tired of this "exclusive microtransactions". Now i would be fine with 4 or 5 crystal, maybe next year ill want more and in 2 years more again. You expect me to buy a hundred now? lol?
Last Halloween was a wakeup call, only 2 item offered, nothing of value offered(just my opinion), no old item coming back either(ALL OF WHICH I OWN AND SOME MULTIPLE TIMES but would have liked to have more). Im supposed to buy a hundred Ice Crystal or a hundred Pumpkins upfront now in case i ever want to do something nice with them or have more than 1 hideout? No. It's worse now because you don't even chose what you buy so that's a double no. What kind of business modeling is that? The exclusivity need to be limited, i can't imagine a single reason why you would rather have people buy a small limited amount of microtransaction rather than sell them all year long or at least seasonally. |

Just bought 7 boxes.....
Great. |

After buying about 50 packs just getting thrice the Gloves and x-times the same stuff?? What the heck?...Extremely lousy odds to get a full set if you ask me...Questionable policy, just like the last time with this gamble thing. Won't buy another gamble pack ever, until GGG guarantees, that the same armour set items won't be given multiple times. Don't want to imagine, how many packs you need to buy to get a full exclusive armour set...Maybe I should ask Warren Buffett to lend me a few bucks.
Certainly feel ripped off... Last edited by DemonBloodbath#7401 on Dec 18, 2015, 6:48:56 PM

And the good thing is it's not even exclusive. It will be in store in a month.
GGG must understand that the laws of poe's rng cannot apply to real money. It's not ethical. After all as someone else noticed it's a game. I give it a 50% chance that buyers are also minors who get carried away by the need to show off in towns and parties. Just give the numbers about the chance to get an armor so people won't be mislead by the "random" tag. Cause it's not random at all, getting the armor feels like dropping a mjolner from what i see in the comments |

" Didn't the description say the armour set is exlusive to this box? Now you tell me this will be available in a month as a regular microtransaction? Even more reason to question this GGG policy then. |

This Mystery Box introduces many new microtransactions and contains some that are exclusive to the holiday season, including the Northern Light Effect (stack of 10), the Ice Crystal Hideout Decoration (5 variations you can select between) and the Snow Hideout decoration. In addition to these exclusive microtransactions (which can only be obtained from this box or future holiday events), we've also introduced many new microtransactions that we'll be adding to the store a month after the box has gone off sale. These include the Arctic Lynx Pet, Wolf Pet and pieces of the new Arctic Armour Set! Here are videos of its Body Armour, Helmet, Boots and Gloves
Some effects are exclusive but the armor will be in store in a month. |

ITT people complaining about RNG.
I think the most ridiculous posts here are the "i wont buy this unless the you cant get duplicates anymore". The majority of items in the box are worth far more than the cost, losing 15 GGG points on a few duplicates really isnt that bad when you take into consideration that quite a few of these are well above a 15 point cost, many being worth over 100 points. If you want to complain about real scumbag box opening practices, please direct yourself to CS:GO and the new model theyve been doing for the past year with TF2 crates. The chances of you getting anything of value in those games are soo abyssmal you need to spend hundreds upon hundreds of dollars to even have the chance of breaking even. Would you rather pay 15 GGG points or spend $2.50 on a key for one of those games knowing that the chance of you getting something of equal value of the key you spent is practically non-existent ? I seriously wonder how many people here complaining have ever done any unboxing in other games, it doesnt seem like many since soo many people are complaining and calling GGG "unethical" and other names because they got some bad RNG. Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in!
Labyrinth salt farm miner. "But my build diversity" , "Game is too hard!" - Meta drone playing the same 1-3 builds for years. |

" Actually is said 'The boxes also include new and exclusive microtransactions...' Furthermore, underneath the youtube video in the OP, there was a paragraph that contained the following: '...we've also introduced many new microtransactions that we'll be adding to the store a month after the box has gone off sale. These include the Arctic Lynx Pet, Wolf Pet and pieces of the new Arctic Armour Set!' You did not read as much as you should have before diving into this headfirst. That is not GGG's fault at all. There is nothing at all to question about it; the whole thing is self-explanatory and getting a full set of armour was never promised, no matter how many boxes you purchased. I seriously don't understand this kind of thinking... Last edited by GoatEatingToilet#3170 on Dec 18, 2015, 11:55:23 PM
