With a big, fat, ol' goose egg in delegates won in NY, Ted Cruz has been mathematically eliminated from contention in the Republican primary.
Here's what he said (at about 2:30) on March 23rd about John Kasich: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=815EhAH5bYA According to Ted, if you can't win 1,237 delegates (Cruz would have to win MORE than 100% of remaining delegates in the primary), you should suspend your campaign. Or has that changed, now that it also applies to him? Cruz is now no better than Kasich, a spoiler, hoping to weasel out a 2nd ballot win at a contested GOP convention if Trump fails to collect the 1,237 for an outright win. And given that the GOPe is no fonder of Cruz than they are of Trump, all he's doing is to help them to GET that contested convention, if he can shave off enough delegates along the way. However, if things do turn out that way, Cruz shouldn't expect the GOPe to nominate him; they'd sooner nominate some other person, and leave him AND Trump in the dust. Poor Ted.
