If it gets easier, then we'll correct it so that it's sufficiently hard. The beta test is to get feedback about this so that we can make sure that it remains challenging to experienced players while still being easy enough at the start to allow new players to learn the ropes.

Personally I'm looking forward to all the changes mark mentioned, like more descriptive and/or accurate tooltips or other bits of information, and fixes/modifications to certain mechanics.

Would have been nice to mention that as two points, but I guess it depends how much was really changed.

i hope the changes to drop rates will be good this time ;) its really hard to lvl with 0.9.4 as completely new player to beta. But i would love to see something like the drop rates getting lower as high difficulty you go. And i mean not in quantity but rarity and the "up to lvl" problem. I think the main problem now (at higher lvls) is to get good item WITH ENOUGH SLOTS.
The funny thing i encountered yesterday - i dropped this:

and its better then the armor im using on my marauder ... but cmon the slots arent the best :/ so basically i will have to first get the right colours and then links - too hard. And also its just not heavy armor. And i cannot drop anything good for marauder last days.

also : "a new skill" ? just one ? i hope it will be melee aoe usable with all kinds of weapons !!!

id suggest a discussion poll thread for HC and default a few days to a week after the patch. each league values differnet things when considering "difficulty" hence the 2 threads?

looking at the notes im pretty sure i know how it will go on the HC side (too easy). im not some pro player, but i am getting to the point where i seriously don't think i can build a toon that will die OR be unable to kill things.

in fact i am about to ask my guild to come up with the absolute worst build they can think of (like a bow witch for example) to see if i can get it to chaos within 2 weeks :D

Really, the only thing that makes the game even slightly challenging is the damage spikes you can get while in the middle of a pack of mobs with substantial damage increase in Maelstrom of Chaos. And since you're buffing everyone's health, and buffing flasks, this challenge will greatly diminish as well, at which point it will just become "click and win".
