T16 maps are all fine..

The hangup for me on shaper is ball management and the add spawning phase. I've tried 3 runs and died on 2nd stage each time. Several deaths due to vortex balls entering zana bubble during bullet hell mode. A few deaths due to my movement skill being on CD when I needed it most (may need to add a flame dash gem). A few deaths BC the add spawn phase overwhelmed me.. the mob clear is just a bit too slow BC I have slower project swapped for gmp, I ended up beating add phase with multitrap conversion traps.

A more experienced player will certainly beat it, I have no doubt. It won't be a spectacular clear, probably in the range of 10-15 minutes at the very top end. Perhaps poison variant with wither totem would have better single target DPS.

About the possible ignite focused build with xoph inception, what would the links looks like? I am not sure about the last link.



For 4L should be something like: Blink/mirror arrow-mindmg-chance to ignite-pierce. When i get 5L there are 4 options: WED, slower proj, added fire and fire pen.


Dont think addded fire is very usleful since only phys dmg on clones is from the bow.


Fire pen and WED are huge multipliers but the problem is they only affect the initial hit and not the ignite dmg.


Slower proj is lower multiplier but it double dips.

What do u think?

So I tried a janky version of this build on Standard league with just the signal fire , lioneye's glare, prolif support gem. The main issue is that mob clear speed sucks. Even with additional arrow quiver, it's pretty underwhelming.. the clone focuses on the ignited target till it dies, and then switches to another section of enemy mobs.

So there are 2 options:

1) use GMP, which you'd have to put in as the 5th link. Sadly, I believe GMP double dips the "less" modifier. However, the nice thing is that you can swap Slower proj with GMP for boss fights.

2) Use Unending Hunger jewels/Inc AoE support / aoe from tree ?. I haven't tested to confirm if any of the above will work with our minions' proliferation radius, or if it will even work with Xoph's.

Or maybe you could do something like slower proj 5th link, and just have a bunch of aoe increases from skilltree. It might be fast enough clearspeed, it might not be, we'll have to test it.

As for 6th link, I'd definitely go WED over anything else. We have a ton of resist reduction from EE + ele weak + possibly flammability.

Wanted to say thanks. Somewhere you stated that you don't know whether it's HC viable or not.
I can assure you, it is.

I played this build in the Essence Hardcore League and had a lot of fun, it was very easy to build up too!

Sadly I started late that league and didn't get to 90 or T16 Maps, but I managed to get to lvl 86 and clearing up to T13 Maps without dying... I eventually ripped to Double Boss Temp Chains on a Gorge , which was a dumb idea... :P

either way it was fun to play, I ended up having almost 5.5k life and about 2k es, with mediocre gear.

might do that again :)
So I finally got these in BHC:

Prolif AoE is small as it was expected, even tooltip says it is only 12 yards. I tried to use 3 Unending Hunger jewels and didn't notice any difference, not sure if it even works. The sacrifice of so many jewel slots isn't worth it, i'll just use 16% minion damage jewels.

The damage is really good with Flammability + Elemental Weakness and EE. Now we have one more support gem to scale minion's elemental damage - Minion and Totem Elemental Resistance Support (MaTER). "10-19% More elemental damage" modifier on it means more double dipping.

1,19*1,19=1,4161

So MaTER could be used as the replacement for WED and we don't have to worry about our clones's resists. After the last patch they have 40% elemental resistance and 20% chaos resistance by default.

I am not sure about final setup for links, but now I use MA for single target and small AoE prolif and BA for AoE clearing.

MA - Minion Damage - Slower Projectile - MaTER - Chance to Ignite
BA - Minion Damage - WED - GMP

Now I need to farm currency to make 5L my bow. The build looks promising.
Nice find, nice math. I've been working on a different theorycraft this league, but I'll probably end up making another blink arrow summoner eventually. Maybe you could record a gameplay video for us once you get the full xoph's inception up and running :]

I was hoping that the ignite range might be a little more significant, but it sounds like theres no way to escape GMP..

20%+15%=35%reduced flask charges used => 15*0.65=9.75*5=48.75. The divine flask only has 45 charges. Am i missing something?
Dunno why it works, but it does. I'm guessing the flask charges used rounds down from 9.75 to 9.
