Hey grocery, have you tested out increased AOE yet?

Im really curious to see what you think!

Not yet, leveling on Talisman. Took a break from the build updating until tomorrow. My Tornado shot video guide took much longer than anticipated.

Running this build atm in talisman, so far so good, picked up a couple of 1 chaos bows for leveling. Try to decide what bow I want to use for early end game content. Really good harbringer bows are hard to come by right now, so I'm considering either going for a lioneye's glare (yes I'm aware of reflect issues) or chin sol (using point blank), until I can afford a mutli exalt harbringer. Which do you think would give better dps?

Well, lioneyes makes it less annoying because you can't miss. For reflect I would use a granite just to be safe. Chinsol will do more damage overall tho

Perhaps I'm missing something, but if you are going to run Blast Rain with Phys to Lightning, isn't vitality void and spirit void a waste of 4 points seeing as you don't deal any phys dmg whatsoever?

It's "attack damage," not just physical. So your elemental portion leeches too.

Exactly, it is a big buff to phys to ele builds or pure ele attack damage builds.

I've used RoA exclusively for most patches since Onslaught and I have to say, leveling with it has never felt better. The mana leech nodes are ridiculous. My RoA at 43 completely sustains itself so I can easily run Hatred/Ash (will swap later obv) and never go OOM. For a long time RoA has felt like shit to level with to be honest, it has never felt better in all my playing.

With not having to use LL/BM gems anymore, I'm fairly sure we'll see a lot more bow builds and variety popping up, and those 2 free slots going to damage just means RoA is even stronger.

Yea the leech buff is huge. You can even do it with windripper now, which may very well be a better option.

I will test some things tonight and post afterwards. Made the caustic arrow shadow guide so this one just stepped up to the plate!

Currently running this build in SC Talisman (IGN: Jayeb) and wanted to give a note of my experiences with Blast Rain. I'm currently level 81 and mapping Tier 3 & 4 bases. Similar build to OP with exceptions of getting Essence Sap next to ranger over Spirit Void in the Duelist leech circle and holding off on getting certain nodes while leveling. I also have yet to get Point Blank due to being a bit fragile. The build so far is pretty sustainable with just this leech notable and no extra mana leech affixes on items. Leech feels really good with this build due to the repetitious hits of the 4 explosions on each cast, it seems pretty consistent and quick. Life leech is nice as well, bursty due to the way the skill delivers damage, but should be even better once I get Vaal Pact. I'm running a 5-Link as of now and am using the listed 4-Link, but I've chosen to use Faster Attacks as my 5th. The damage provided by the 4-Link, frenzy charges and the bow I'm using (listed below) is fantastic at this point, so I felt I just needed quicker delivery of the damage. I bought the bow I'm using for about 25c:

It's more than enough for the current map level. I'm sitting at about 4.5k HP and my evasion isn't very high. It can get sketchy sometimes, but builds like these solve those problems with the solutions the OP listed. So, defensively I'm pretty squishy til I get item's with higher life values and evasion, or Taste/LC or something. The DPS for this skill is a little wonky I'm assuming, but I achieve over 9.3k with HoA/Hatred/7 Charges (Anyone else playing this and can compare?). Overall, really happy with Blast Rain and the suggestions OP makes. I blow through all maps up to Tier 4 so far (which isn't much of an achievement I'll admit), but I will try to post again when I am higher level.

Edit: Fixed Tooltip DPS
