With the new leech nodes is it even nessescary to get Hungry Abyss for convert phys leech from bloodrage and passives into chaos leech?

I think this is pretty much the core build. There are also more HP nodes to get but not concerned with that too much atm. Im not going to go the poison route at the moment as I want to try upping my dps. I am on 12k with charges up. Also the Mana and HP leech wheel under the duelist tree are perfect. I am running Wrath, HOI and HOT and have around 50-70 mana. Even with this pool I can keep up my hits unless I get to single target DPS. my tree is pretty similiar, i am on the fence about arrow dancing, it synergises well with king of the hill but i see most people do not take it.

" Both are terrible. Top tree also has a wasted mana leech node instead of hybrid leech. I found getting 2dex nodes @ top ranger start is better with static electricity compared to stun node for one extra point like before. I just got lvl90 on talisman with a 5link and found you really want poison gem in a 6link only so you would leave lethal toxins for last. I would still use it on blast rain for single target if you have a 5link on that as well though. You can see my gear and tree in profile. I still keep all the mana nodes because of the intellect and the flask bonuses on primal spirit arent bad. I would prefer to respec all of them and also lethal toxins to get scion life nodes though. Blood dance is preference I like regen a lot and hate managing blood rage even if it is a small dps buff. I would always take coil with any build so i guess thats preference also. Some people like kaom or some evasion rare chest but coil is just too op to not use. Overall I would use this tree after looking at it many times the only thing that i would consider changing are the method to the madness and lethal toxins points but if you leave them for 90+ it wont matter anyway. " My profile is open, but my Talisman league Ranger is still in leveling stage (42 lvl ATM). Since i'm leveling with Death Harp, i grabbed bow nodes first, acrobatics and turned to duelist. You can use Storm Cloud if you want to "feel" the build from early levels... Blast Rain is a magnificent leveling skill, and when used with "life gained on hit" it makes you almost unkillable. I also got Point Blank just to try it (also it's nice to kill faster at early levels). Later you'll want to unlearn it, probably. " True, on Hardcore you rush Scion's Wheel (and Marageur's life nodes) as fast as you can. And you cap resistances from very beginning. " You can get Snakebite gloves (they have HP, btw) and poison enemies, that frees one socket. GGG wrote, that "projectile" and "chaos" damage modifiers DO affect poison damage (inflicted by projectile skills). That includes "increased projectile damage" from tree and Drillneck, gems "Void Manipulation" and "Slower Projectiles", etc. With all that's, it's absolutely real to deal 75% of hit damage per second as poison (or even more), and that not counting Shock debuff... Void Manipulation will be must-have gem. As for Blast Rain, you can actually use it as "jack of all trades" skill, because it's AoE after all. Especialy good for Kaom users, since they dont have second 5-link. Arcing Blows is so-so cluster itself (for example, 2 ranger's starting nodes or Sniper notable are no worse), but since you have to waste 2 nodes to reach it, it's absolutely terrible. And you rather wanth chaos or projectile damage nodes, as they increase your poison damage as well. " I dont life going through Vaal Pact because it vastes many nodes (yes, you get Charisma, but...). I laos dont understand, why do you waste 2 points on +10 dexterity nodes when you can get "stun avoidance and movement speed"? And instead of that Chaos Damage cluster, 20% crit node and Colhearted Calculation i'd took Maradeur's life nodes. " Hungry Abyss converts life leech only, and you still need to get it somewhere (not counting 5 corrupted items). And mana leech? And -1 jewel slot? Life leech nodes were not just "turned" to work for any damage, they also were numerically buffed. With extra 3-4 nodes invested, you can forget about further need for life and mana leech.... Is using Voltaxic the only way to deal with reflect as LA?
To give some context i was messing around with supports for LA as my (phyical chain crit build got killed by the split arrow nerf)So i was using; LA-PTL-WED-GMP-Chain which was doing good work until i instantly and i mean instantly died to a reflex mob off screen one-shot 1 ms later im dead.So how is that dealt with? "Blue warrior shot the food"

Managed to get a GL Body Armor on Talisman
Now i am testing links... i still stick with SA but also tried LA but i ran into Mana Problems with LA Using SA-CHAIN-WED-AL-FA-Innervate But What would be your Links for SA and/or LA though about Added Chaos Damage or Power Charge on Critical and adding Warlord's Mark. I am using Snakebite but iam still not bought in on Poison :( |

The 2 dex nodes are for static electricity jewel, you spend 1 point for 10 flat lightning instead of 2% move speed. Coldhearted calculation is also worth it because its not only a 12% dmg node but also gives you int and the regen is nice if you run on mana. And yes you get charisma so you can use wrath+2heralds and run on mana maybe with lvl3 enlighten you can save some points here.
Marauder points are an alternative yes its just a trade off of dps vs hp you already have 190% or so life without them. |
