Just multiply Blast Rain's DPS by 4, and you'll get realistic number. It not just "can" hit the same target 4 times, but it WILL hit it if targeted on.

Concenrated effect decreases AoE which isnt allowable for packs. Also, it doesnt work for Tornado and LA.
Void Manipulation is must-have, already told that.
Crit damage is a BAD support, actually. DPS-wise it's just around 24% more damage (with proper gear), and it's highly spiky (because dealt on crits only), which is BAD for pack clearing.
Faster attacks is must-have too, probably.
WED is absolute musthave gem.
Added lightning is also musthave - how else you get that base damage?

I was talking about blast rain for SINGLE target. Conc effect and crit dmg with poison is very good for kiting bosses.

@Aggnog: playing Talisman too atm. and releveled a ranger, because casters suck atm.
Following my gear atm.:


Your gear (especially jewlery) is pretty insane for the short time of this league.
I have a LC ready, but I need to 6 socket and link it, so I use tabula so long.
With my gear atm. lighres is enough to have 75 all res. with LC.
Question is: what should I focus on now?
I'd like to have WED rings, but theres no good rings/affordable ones atm. (prices are ridic. for shitty jewlery...).

Sadly I need the INT node, maybe can respec it later.
Essence SAP solves all my mana issues running the 6L in the tabula (respecing that later when I have a 5L LC).
Sitting at 3,7K HP with tabula @lvl 69.

Any tips on what to focus on next?
Damage is good atm. (7,7K LA with all frenzy and powercharges up).

There are better supports than ICD for 6-link (WED, ALD, Poison, CE, VM). If you poison via Snakebite, add FA or SP. Why do you want to use suboptimal gem instead?

Im just saying you are underrating crit multi because the tooltip dps doesnt really show whats going on. Your damage with any bow build on non-crits is irrelevant so all you are doing is waiting to get a crit to kill anything. If you need 2 crits to kill a pack without crit multi and 1 crit with it then you actually gain dps. Also in higher maps killing turbo or other fast bosses relies on getting a crit with blast rain and them dying from the dot.

1. Voltaxic is NOT about oneshotting everthyngs with crits. It's base crit chance is too low to stack crit chance up to 90%.
2. If you WAIT for crit to kill, you shouldnt bother about crit damage, you should bother about crit chance, thus you should use ICS gem.
3. VM and SP gems apply to DoT (poison) twice, so your aguments are still irrelevant.

I am not underrating crit multi. It's a very useful stat. The problem is, ICD gem is additive to other sources od crit multiplier and (unlike Faster Attacks) is too weak numerically. It offers too small DPS boost for a gem slot, and becomes even weaker with extra crit multi on gems or talisman implicit.

Don't take Arrow Dancing in a ranged attack build that doesn't worry about reflect!

I love Phase Acro, but it's not exactly necessary considering how many points it already takes to make this build decent. I believe the original build only took Acro, nothing beyond it, and the op got to level 100, so...

played a while without phase acrobatics, but personally i found it to risky and gladly spent the 4 points, no regrets.
