[2.2] [Video] The Iron Reave - 100k DPS Crit Duel Wield Block Iron Reflex Reaver

Im lv 85 and i love your build. leveling wasn't great but mapping is really fun once I got the abyssus. Now that I think that by gear is decent what upgrades do you think i should make to my equiptment?

Thanks for the build!
Hi!

Happy to hear you like the build!

First upgrade is really easy: craft crit Chance on your amulet with Elreon!

Next thing woulkd be to llok for more life on your gear, your chest and gloves don´t have much life, i´d at least recaft it for max rolls. for the chest i´d try to get a unlinked one with GG rolls. Chests like this can often be found pretty cheap as most players don´t like to buy unlinked rare chests.

Then you can 6 socket and 5 Link it, with the potential to get a 6link out of it.

I´d look for something with 1800+ AR/EV, 90+ Life and some resistances as you need them.

I'm level 82 and I'm really striggling to run tier 7 or more maps any change I can make in my gear to change that ? I put Rat's Nest because Abyssus was killing me.

@Fandrin

Get Life on your Belt and Boots. Rather get a Leatherbelt with 150+ Life if you have Problems.

Use Vaal Reave to keep a distance.

Spec out of some damage and take life nodes first.

Get Life on Jewels.

Put Abyssus on, if you kill stuff fast it can´t kill you :)

Is Faster Attacks the best slot for your setup? Seems like with such a fast sword plus dual wield bonus you could get more out of Added Fire or Crit Damage. Is it a chrome issue for you? I know I'm trying to chrome an EV chest for my Reaver and getting only 1 green socket is a nightmare. Haven't hit it yet and spent a few hundred chromes

I honestly don´t know, did not try to get 4 offcolours just to test it and i don´t have a tabula this league to test.

I´ll ask a clanmate to lend me a Tabula to test it tomorrow.

Did you happen to find the answer to this? I've seen many reave builds for 2.1 but this is about the only guide I've found that uses faster attack over added fire damage.
I´d still say both are about the same. Added Fire will be a higher Tooltip but isn´t worth much without any penetration. Fast Attacks gives more pure Phys DPS which is a lot more effective.

Hi,

I have several questions / suggestions regarding the ascendency transition.

I would take the "gladiator" class for this build, for the obvious ambidextry bonus. I'm however not convinced it would not work with the slayer, with the leech related bonus. But let's talk about the gladiator.

I would take the "bleeding branch", with "Blood in the eyes", and two points in painforged.

Now on to maybe the gems adaptation, what would you think of a 4L with puncture, melee splash, FA, Fortify ? basically, you jump into a pack, curse, puncture and then reave. Like this, you can a constant bonus on these bleeding enemies.

On that bleeding strategy, what would you think about including a bloodlust gem into a 6L ? What would you replace ?

I was thinking of gladiator for the 100% block applied to spell. With rumi's you get 75% block and 75% spell block after taking that ascendancy node, which negates the only real con for this iron reave build.

And if you get the off-hand node on gladiator that gives endurance charge on kill, you could remove warlords curse and use something like enfeeble or temp chain. (6 points total with spell block and this)

I think going defensive at this point is better, when you have enough damage from abyssus, etc.

Perma fortify seems like a waste since it's easy keeping it up with whirling blade. For HC, maybe an option.

I honestly don´t know if i will update the build for Ascendancy.

At this point i am not thinking about anything because we don´t know anything about balance changes and the new tree so its wasted effort at thi point imho.

Alright, it makes sense, we actually have enough dps, so taking block nodes is interesting.

On the matter of endurence charge however, you can get one only if you kill. This could be annoying if you are on a boss who doesn't summon mobs in a resonnable time, and who has lots of life, like Atziri. Moreover, the curse gives you life leech (alright, not si much) but more importantly, enough mana leech so you never have to care about this ressource. On this point, I am not convinced.

For the last 2 points I think i'll take Violent retaliation then, with the argument "enough attack, more def is cool".
