On the patch note i have read " not a nerf ", and ingame i was like " but, it is a nerf !"
So basically lvl 70 area is out, but we still have no diversity on specter choice ? +1 for me |

I think they were too powerful as mobs, and too powerful as Spetres. The clear speed bonus they gave was sort of ridiculous. There shouldn't be ONE mob that is necessary to have as Specters, that's not as fun for me, and I'm playing a summoner. Yet I still think these changes were right... so...

ehhh, the odd thing is that when you are playing by your self or even with one buddy this is more or less a non issue.
Things get much more notable when you play in larger groups and you are the only one that cant clear a blob of mobs in under 5(20)(40) seconds because you lost either your aoe or your damage . This is in the end what kills it for me. playing with my guildies is nothing short of a painful and disheartening experience now. their builds dont just beat my clear speed ... i have zero impact on their clear speed. And sadly i am at the point where i dont really have the heart to reroll my sockets or buy a new item and reroll that . I am after all the same fella that took 500 fusing and 300 chromes to 5l 3 blue a queens decree. positively soul crushing |

Patch notes say "It is a nerf to reavenants not to summoners" then why reduce the amount of projectiles too? I mean, projectiles can't shotgun anymore right so why does it matter if it shoots 5 or 10 projectiles if the nerf was done so players wouldnt die to them?

" well you need to understand how shot gun works, shotgun prior to the change affect projectiles that hit at the same time from the same source. so say a lmp fireball. it fires 3 balls and they all hit the same guy. the old system all three would hit and do separate damage. under the new system all three hit but only 1 is counted. the revenants got around this because the projectiles are not fired at the same time but rather in rapid succession. so its 5 extremely fast hits rather than 5 at once. the question then is why didn't they just give revenants far shot or something? Advantage of revenants is, that you have easily available 70 lvl bodies to use.
I personally returned to evangelists as even if revenants are still on par regarding clear speed, additional defense added by evangelists is still worth to consider, so I will run it at least until I run out my old Palaces stock. TBH while using revenants, I missed bubbles so much... I even considered to switch back before nerf, so it just crystallized my decision. Anticipation slowly dissipates...

Pure summoners clear speeds are very slow compared to pretty much every other build on poe. Join a group with like 4 other players and your speeds going to be SUPER slow. Like you are some 20 levels behind everyone else. If this is not a sign that the summons need a buff, I dont know what is. Sure you can use summons to just tank while you sit back with flame totem or srs, but this is not the point. Summons shouldnt suck like this especially if you invest every single point and piece of gear into them.
