sooo... what to use as new spectres?

I sometimes used the Gutspiker Mobs out of nostalgia just for the Titty B's. They attack similarly just with a slower projectile (and I assume a stronger punch)

But aside from that the usual Lantern Bros or the Revenants...

Question about the Revenant do their projectiles benefit from GMP/LMP or Spell Echo?

well yeah you have srs , why do people keep bring them up? srs are op , they are way stronger than everything else on offer they move faster and hit harder and are entirely disposable

also lantern bros dont really benefit from minion speed , you may want to find an alternative gem

It also makes me wonder what is their basis on nerfing revenant. I just did a search on the feedback and suggestion forum (i'm assuming that is where most people would complain about things like this) and found out only one thread was dedicated to revenant being OP and the thread creator died in a map in Tempest league where it was the chaos tempest.

So I don't know where they come up with the "They are killing players too fast and are therefore too dangerous" Lately they seem to come up with ridiculous excuses for their action, just like the map nerf, but that doesn't matter in here.

Back to topic: Tried the new Rev and they are totally shit now. The only thing OP about them still is the noise they are making. Looks like I will have to try to figure out what to do to make lantern bearers good but I can only assume that as soon as someone find out how to make them decent they will just nerf again.

Wondering if increase burn damage works with lantern?

they have their own statistics telling them what killed a player. my guess is that they found that revenents were killing more than they wanted

latern bros are annoying as hell to build for.




the only sure fire gems to user are fire pen , minion damage and echo.


conc effect makes their aoe stupidly small
lmp reduces their on hit damage but some claim they can still shotgun
increased aoe is pretty neutral but is not nearly as effective as lmp or gmp at coverage
increased burn is ass , their base burn damage is awful
and slower projectiles is a bad idea too since their attack doesn't compensate for monster movement so they will miss alot of the time.

Also, this thread is so full of absolutely biased summoners it's pathetic. A single revenant pre-patch could hit a player for 3.8k hp in one go, in a got damn 69 map without damage mods (I've been there and lived). The mob was op, and the wording in the patch implies that GGG was aware of this and did it for the players, they did not patch them to nerf you paranoid, tin foil hat wearing summoners.

oh dear you seem confused. you think we think ggg is out to get us. their intentions are irrelevant. the result is all that matters.

here is the fact , the revs lost 30% damage and 2 projectiles. that made them do less damage period and that fact doesn't give too shits about them being a ghost or not so why would we be hung up about the distinction ggg made when the nerf clearly doesn't?


it is also a fact that they have been significantly diminished in effectiveness as specters in the end we are saying they were too significantly diminished.


its not about , oh they were op and needed to die . it is not about oh they were fine and did not need a nerf . that debate is done as far as most of us are concerned. go to the other thread if you want to post some troll bait or the other one just not here

agreed, killing ppl is just an excuse.

ppl were not as stupid as monsters to let u kill whenever u want. since i was killed by revenant the first time, i knew they were good guys and dealt with them carefully when i saw their lightning projectiles.
so, how could it be "they are too dangerous"? if u are killed by them the first time, yes they are dangerous, but if u are always killed by them, that is not they are dangerous, it is the players themselves are stupid, and again, they dont appear so many at one time.

the situation is, if GGG really want to nerf something, they just do it and make an excuse.

and the really excuse is "summoners with Stygian Revenants are doing way good, lots of players complain about it, let's do the nerf to satisfy them"

but when u nerf the Stygian Revenant, did u think about the summoners whose build, equipment and time? we finally have to go back to evangelists, sentinels and lanternbearers. why u guys make a gem called raise spectre? just name it as raise evangelists/sentinels/lanternbearers. coz when a new good monster is found, the nerf will be

but why the most OP thing SRS is still alive?

and my last question is:GGG can u give a suggestion here for some new spectres?

Spam SRS behind your wall of zombies for single target, on tanky maps (Like 76+ with mob health mods) switch MultiStrike with Melee Splash on SRS. I killed extra life orchard boss in like 5-6 seconds once he popped up into my vaal haste srs.

3 level 70 Revs with LMP, Minion damage, Spell Echo and chain. Having no problems. Haven't died since they nerfed them. Clear speed wasn't what it was but definitely not what you guys make it out to be. If you can't handle it then either your gear or tree sucks hard. For very high level maps like 80+ spectres 10 levels lower probably shouldn't be working 100% of the time anyway if you think about it logically. By that time anyway just pop into 73s until they show up and its just as easy as before.

Shit I still don't even have a curse remove flask.
