Mana cost basically. Well, in a previous build that I ran, I used both Lightning Strike AND Molten strike and sustained mana with two +2 mana gained on hit jewels. To be able to do that, low level molten strke / LS was the only way. I don't see why we can't level it up in this build though. Doesn't seem like a problem with blood magic.

As of right now, the build works the same with both Marauder & witch. (Only advantage I see on witch beginning, is that you have easier time levelling up).
Anyway, as for ascendancy, from what they've revealed so far, I think the Juggernaut class of Marauder (8% attack speed? +1000 accuracy? +1 Endurance charge and +% dmg based on endurance charges), seems really great.

Also the inuisitor from Templar, i'm quite interested in that too. Let's see. Tbh, I'm quite possibly the worst theory-crafter / tree builder xD So i'm just gonna wait till OP or any one else out there min maxes stats and makes a build out of the changes :P

I get pretty massive frame drops if I hit something that can't die - necrovigils, shields, cannot die aura... Otherwise usuallly 40-65 (I cap my FPS at 65) and pretty stable.

At the moment Juggernaut seems like the best option for a tanky build. I'm still hoping for a witch with either nice defensive nodes or something spell power + extra power charge. We'll see :)

If you level you get a tiny bit more damage and spend a tiny bit more life. It doesn't make any difference either way. I'll probably level them.

If you hit something that doesn't die you get a huge number of discharges and a huge frame rate drop. That's to be expected. Dry pen boss is usually 1-2 FPS for me. :P

I was just checking out the notes and I'm hoping for the same exact thing. I'd hate to have to level up a Marauder for those skills so I'm hoping one of the other two, asides from Necro, will work out nicely.
If anything the marauder version will be tanker (it already is). But there's bound to be a spellcaster witch class which will work with discharge...

Edit: Duelist would be really good now as well: Permanent fortify (with increased effect) & Conquereror. That way you can swap out fortify for LMP or even Lightning strike (and run both LS & MS in the 6L).

Mmm, I hadn't thought about that. That would be PRETTY good. I just noticed that the Duelist's beginning nodes are not so bad. 5 Evasion+attack speed nodes n we could reach Art of the Gladiator.

LS or LMP usage might be quite a huge buff for the build.

I'm actually not sure how much the tree is going to be for 2.1. (Granted ascendancy is going to be some changes).

Damnit, bring out the patch notes phaaaster ggg.

Oh well, fun stuff. Not deathless, died to his smash in the first phase a couple of times cause I'm dumb. Shavronne was easy to tank even with her reflect up when having 97% lightning res. Next up is uber atziri, had one try so far and died too many times on trio (thought kiting the cyclone guy was the way to go, but apparently he's tankable as the last one...) and only had 1 attempt at atziri and failed during split for some reason. Saving up for a new attempt woo

Do you find headhunter that beneficial? I found that you need pretty good clear speed to really make use of it (was using it on a vaal sparker for a bit which was pretty insane).

An interesting variant would be aegis and MoM. Then you might be able to drop the blood magic gem in the 6L. And if you go duelist with the new ascendency classes you could even drop fortify as well (and swap in LMP and maybe lightning strike or accuracy). You'd obviously lose the extra resists from Saffell's.

5.1k hp? You've lost 200 health from the last time you were playing. Did you make some changes mate?

Btw, As always, excellent play. You make it seem too easy. (I'm actually finding it hard to buy that you're new to the whole uber game, your play seems too good!).

Edit - What was that 9:20? O.o Your health seemed to be struggling to stay at top even with your flasks up. Were you on the black smoke?
