His selection makes complete sense to me.

Purity of fire and purity of lightning gives max elemental resist. Which will help immensely with tanking high end fire/lightning damage.

Damage are of secondary importance in any hardcore league. Your goal is to not die.

And Revenants definitely do plenty of damage without them =).

A question about Animate Guardian: if you summon that on leer and dying breath, when i logout it disappears or remains at my new login?

He remain, all you need to do is summon he again.

You will loose the equips if the Guardian die, mine never get close to die i'm using

Apologies if someone has already mentioned this, but an easy way to get access to level 68 Stygian Revenants is to run a 68 pit map and just desecrate until you can summon some.

I just did this and can now progress through act 4 merciless and not be dependent on the level 59 summoned ones from Cruel.

Edit: Apparantly Revenants aren't guaranteed, but I still feel it is a worthwhile investment.

Revenants die way too easily... and single targetting a boss takes a little long.. are there any ways to fix those problems? I get revenants from merc as well..

Are you cursing the bosses with enfeeble, temps, and chill grounds? That combo pretty much makes any boss a piece of cake for a summoner.

Are you actively dodging big mechanics using convocation?

Are you spamming animation flasks?

Putting down a rejuv totem?

switch out chain for slower projectiles , use a vaal lightning trap to get shock on the static bosses.


btw revenants arent the only minion in the game, undying incinerators technically have higher dps. much higher dps just switch out fire storm with ball lightning if you use EE
