Unless something has changed, it very explicitly states on the Wiki that totems have a set range, period, and nothing increases it (yes, the Wiki could be wrong, but probably isn't). Faster Projectiles would just get them to max range faster.

Faster projectiles increases the attack range of the totems, meaning instead of a 2 inch totem spray, its now a 6 inch totem spray. Its pretty much a must to have. Just pop it in and test it out lol

Same thing with spectral throw. it increases the distance the attacks go by a ton

A nooby question about faster projectile gem.

I bought it from the vendor and it has 83 dexterity requirement, which i don't have.

Is there a way to lower the dex requirements? Where could i find the proper gem?

Nope you're right... I just reread the entry again... it's the detection range that can't be changed... not the actual skill range. Obviously retention on that statement wasn't very good on my part... 8). I believe more coffee is in order..

i had good results with knockback support gem on totems to keep the melee chargers away from totems and me :)
did you try the slowing curse temporal chains?

i use/and saw other also do it:
- raising zombies with minion life and resistances as tanks
- use corpse explosion for additoinal DPS
- use SRS for additonal DPS



These gloves are cheap & effective


Anyone hit gets auto cursed & I don't have to worry about self casting either.

You're going to have to get some more dex on your gear

sure but they are not doing anthing else for this build besides some INT bump... id rather use the skill from a gem
Using this guide lately and wiping pretty much every map easily. Thanks for the guide mate.
I changed passive tree a bit for a bit crit based way. Maybe a little squishier but works pretty fine for me.

Here is the gear i use. Considering this is my first character, im doing pretty well imo.
My tooltip dps is about 27k per totem with 3 power charges. It is incredibly fast when clearing out maps. When dual wielding, tooltip increases to 36k dps per totem.

I'm using it for my first character and it's very easy and straightforward. I got to level 70 just on self-found gear.
