Great guide! But I really don't like using BM in my builds on HC. Is there a way to build this without BM?

" Well in general things like Celestial Punishment wheel go partly wasted if all of your elemental damage is fire and it is converted to chaos dmg. At that point, think of the entire total bonus you are getting as far as elemental (fire/spell/etc) dmg and the cost to get to that tree. Since you are no longer getting the benefit of those bonus abilities, the gain compared to the cost of the wheel isn't so great. That is 6 points spent on that wheel for 56% elemental/fire damage which is converted to chaos. You can of course keep those, but you asked more about "efficiency". Consuming dark is a dagger which gives crit chance. So part of the bonus is that crit chance. You could use the points to invest 4 points in the Annihilation wheel (105% more crit chance / 10% multipler) with 2 points still to spare. If you started as a witch you can either take two of the beginning spell damage or cast speed nodes (whatever you didnt take before) or use them towards another jewel socket. I've seen plenty of jewels that give a combos of spell/projectile/fire/totem damage which equal 25-30% and then in addition have something like cast speed, or bonus to life. Then those points invested become even more valuable but with a currency cost. Also, remember if you go full chaos, you don't need fire penetration and can just replace it with Iron Will. I find that there are cheaper rares out there that give more damage though, so I personally don't think consuming dark is worth it. Thank you for all of the hard work you put into creating this guide - I found it very beneficial and am going to use it for my next build. This will be my 3rd character (Ranger bombed, Arc Witch was pretty good, figure that this should be very good :-))
I've been using this (pledge of hands) for my arc build. Would this work for your Dual Flame Totem Witch, or should I be looking to go with the wand shield setup? (ignore the gem setup, I still have this in my arc witch) Also, if this would work, what do you suggest my gem setup be for the staff? ThanX in Advance for your guidance |

Okay guys. I was playing with the skill tree a bit and the result is very pleasing!
Former tree was pretty standard. I didn't get Heart of Flame but four jewel slots and Unyielding. OLD Flame Golem, Herald of Thunder, 3 Endurance Charges and Molten Shell online: 4.1 k Life (after 15% HoT) 15.2 k dps per totem 56% Physical Damage reduction NEW Same setup but with Shaman's Dominion instead of Herald of Thunder: 4.7 k Life 19.9 k dps per totem 48% Physical Damage reduction So what did I change? Well of course I'm going for crits now. But I didn't change any gems or items but the amulet! From to So in result I've gained 600 Life and almost 10.000 dps (4.7 k x2) in exchange for 8% Physical Damage reduction by changing ~15 skill points and ONE item? As you can see the amulet and one jewel are the only items in addition to Infernal Mantle that boost my crits:

I was totally not expecting a 30% DPS GAIN! My next step will be two Diamond Rings. I don't know what to do at that point... give Consuming Dark a try... or maybe even Three Dragons? Actually 140% increased Spell Damage is not that hard to achieve with two wands. You will also get Cast Speed, added Elemental Damage to Spells and probably crit on your wands.
