Tree is pretty standard. The crit isn't so important on your wand/neck unless you spec crit nodes, which you haven't done in your tree. The primary thing you are missing on your wand is cast speed. It makes a huge difference. I had a sceptre with 119% fire damage and no cast speed and it wasn't as good as my 54% spell damage sceptre with cast speed. So take that into consideration. I would definitely look to change to a Spell (Fire/Elemental/Spell combo doesn't matter) damage wand/sceptre with at least 15% cast speed and 45+ added damage to spells. If you are lucky and get added fire damage then fire pen works for that too. Sometimes though you just take what is cheap.

Just like the previous poster, your major issue is that your are running a 4L in your helm. A 4L in general is bad for flame totem on a normal piece of gear. You either would benefit much more from using a +2 fire gem 3L item such as a sceptre or wand or switching to an infernal mantle to get the +1 Gem and going 4+ Links. Flame totem jumps a lot with levels. Of course switching to infernal mantle means loss of life/armor/resists and requires significant int, so you have to build the rest of your gear around it. Have you tried to find a 3L +2 fire item? Flame Totem-Fire Pen-Faster Casting on a good +2 fire gem weapon can take you all the way to maps. easily. By then you should be able to invest in a mantle for a low cost with 4L easily. Beyond that gear gets expensive. You don't NEED to have a mantle, but if you do stay normal chest, it should be 5L to make it worth while. (You can get a cheap white 5L and then craft it) - But I'd suggest a +2/3L until you can do either.

As for the rest of your gear, it needs a lot of upgrades. Movespeed on your boots is helpful. Try to find more life on all of your gear. +strength also means more life, so you can get away with lower life if it has a strength bonus too. Adding damage to things like rings is nice but not necessary. Usually just get life and resists and any stats you need to wear gear and worry about the fine tuning for damage later.

Just out of curiosity... since the tree is "fixed" why do you attack the jewel node with an int mode instead of STR for iron will? Obviously, everyone can tweak things here or there for personal taste/gear/feel, but I was just curious... one mode isn't a big deal.. or at least it normally isn't unless you need the into for gear, etc.

Also I think I saw that his Clear Mind Gem was 40%. You could easily boost dps by getting a higher spell damage rolled one. They are really dropping in price today.

Since damelon was talking some other thoughts/nodes... here's a slight tweak to the HC tree posted earlier that focuses on more armor, additional .8% regen and eeks out 3% more life. Of course, if you prefer more gem slots you could adjust accordingly. I was thinking of something more in line with low currency/self found that I usually play.

Alright thanks alot for that input, guess I'll look for a wand with those stats then :-). I'm running maps atm (68-71) without a problem. I just got here tho so some time to work on the gear.

Mantle seems to have risky stats, is anyone running that on HC?

Quick update. 5c, ~80 Jeweller, 72 Fusing and a shitload of Chroms later, my tooltip dps suddenly got from 11k to 14,7k...

CONGRATS!!!! My mantle was my first 6 link ever so I know the feeling! :) At least it is a 14% Level 1 Iron Will :) Good mantle to do it on too, excellent rolls on it, just put that 20% quality on it for more ES!
