What is your opinion about new globes?

I saw that post as well, but other than animals = animism, I don't see any connection between lions and mana. Taniwha, particularly shark variants such as mangō-taniwha would seem to be a better fit for the primal form of energy.

There could be content in act IV that ties in Lions and mana- I haven't really looked at the spoilerish stuff, but currently I am strugglng to see the tie in between the two.

I really don't get this "You pandered to those whiny bitches" accusation, while you whine and cry and try to blackmail GGG by threatening to never look at their game again because they changed your precious UI.

Even if they did change the UI because of that reason (which I highly doubt or they would've targeted other sources of "misogny" too), this reaction only proves that you are as childish as these "whiners" you blame.

Thought the new UI was themed around the update, with the lions being related to Kaom (lions on heart and sign)

I really like this one more than the try that GGG did on Forsaken Masters, but yeah, there should be an option to select UI style.

I like the new, thick upper border of the "liquid", as it refills up. Makes it look much more solid.
I don't give a darn about the ladies being gone. I think my perception registered them exactly 3 times during my 3+ years of playing.
I do like the thicker borders of the globes themselves.
I love the less opaque liquid layer showing where the current regeneration is going to fill up to.

I am sure there are tons of other minute changes that I will never see because I don't pay enough attention to that area :)

As a number of other people have pointed out in that thread, people not noticing them is a good thing, because it means that is blended in well, that it was non-intrusive. The new one catches your eye and draws attention much more easily, due to it having higher contrast (it's darker, thicker, and flatter/more 2D-ish).
Several people found it somewhat distracting.

While I appreciate the new functionality of the globes, I don't like the change in aesthetics. The old UI fit perfectly with POE's grim, dark atmosphere. The skull and lion look very generic in comparison.

Would vastly prefer the old skin if it could be modded in.

I really don't care what surrounds the globes, I just want the damned flask regeneration effect gone. I don't understand how this made it into the game without at least being an option. Does no one at the GGG officer play hardcore?

I'm just glad we don't have to put up with that "let me tell you where you just clicked" bubble Diablo 3 spams the screen with 6,000 times a second to let you know where your mouse pointer is located, just in case your eyes are broken.

I hope me mentioning it hasn't given anyone any ideas.

I absolutely hate the new globes. I want the old globes back, the one with the ladies. At least give me the option to switch back.
