It's the principle of things. This creates a precedent. I want girls in chains around my orbs that's what I want and that's that.

I don't want no half naked men showing me their ass or a cat on my mana orb.

Why mess with a good thing.

Because change is a good thing too. You just have to learn to enjoy that aspect of it too. I didn't like the old men either, but I didn't bitch about it. I think it would be good if they changed them regularly, or at least allowed us the option of changing them... even as an MTX.

I agree with MTXs. If they had the MTX girls on chains, I'd definitely pay for it.

You gonna start caring when they change other parts of the game for being "offensive"? No of course not, you're such a tough guy.

Nothing was changed because of being "offensive".

Don't you people read?

You can be gullible all you like, you can make believe some dev is your personal buddy and all of that. No one else is obligated to do so. It's a business and they're offering a product. If their product is substandard then I want no part of it. I already regret my small financial support of this game as it's clear they will sacrifice the game's quality to appease some professional whiners.
I really really really love the new globes :) (no sarcasm)

It would be so freaking cool if they would also be animated like in D3. Thats the only thing (besides the physic engine) i love in D3 over PoE.

And maybe... just maybe... we can get a physic engine some day in PoE, too. In a few years :D Then this game is just perfect.

Nontheless... PoE is just a great game!

Nope. It would be so freaking cool if GGG made animation of bouncing tits for the old globes.

Hey everyone!

Some of the comments in this thread seem to be wandering dangerously close to misogynistic territory, which as I'm sure you're aware would fall under the 'Discrimination Against Others' forum guideline; a tier one offence.

Please be sure to keep your thoughts on this topic respectful.

You can take a more in-depth look at the forum guidelines here.

One of the major reasons I play PoE is because GGG has NOT adopted typical hyper sensitive, politically correct non-sense that is plaguing the gaming industry these days.

If GGG goes SJW / politically correct I will have interest in PoE anymore and I'm sure many others would agree with me.

The fact you're flippantly throwing around meaningless SJW buzzwords without any regard for what they actually mean is already a big red flag.

The new UI looks sorta generic. Not a fan of it.

Gentlemen, we seem to be at an agreement. I would, however, add

You have to be realistic about these things.

Assuming to know other people's motives without some evidence from them or a strong rationale for the supposed insight, never ends well. Whether it is assuming GGG changed to orbs to desexualize the interface or assuming that players who prefer the old interface want to hypersexualize the interface.

There is nothing reasonable about bad logic, or a lack of logic. In this case, the logical fallacy is commonly known as the Strawman argument. It is about as valid as implying that GGG named the expansion "The Awakening" because a giant international mattress company made a secret deal, and then describing bed of nails as a reasonable opposing product to the illusory Kaom Sized and Atziri sized mattresses.

Some of the players who don't like the new orbs have stated that they don't care whether the orbs are changed, but rather that they don't like the new ones. People can like or dislike things for a whole gamut of reasons.

I hope they change the new globes to two fat guys with curved shoulders, patchy beards, and greasy hair; bound by their wrists with burning bras while simultaneously getting whipped by Andrea Dworkin and stiff-armed by an attractive female.

Some of you will be offended by that comment on the grounds that it represents a cheap caricature of what your motives really are for holding the position you do on the matter. Sure, the kind of person I have in mind will pretend, after reading the first sentence of the second paragraph, that it didn't bother them, but it did. You might have tamped it down so as not to feel hoodwinked, but you felt something on the spectrum of contempt. You might think I somehow sympathize with people that use that kind of imagery to dismiss you. Why resort to that? It's not in the spirit of solving the issue at hand and doesn't contribute at all to furthering the argument, particularly if I don't happen to feel that way myself. With so little upside, why even invoke it?

Cash that out a little and you might start seeing where a reasonable opposing position starts getting some traction.
