I'm gonna finish up Vitality Void for the leech, and then probably get the jewel socket next to Golem's blood. Any advice would be much appreciated.


I took a slightly different approach... I read a thread that I really liked about using the Stun component of Maces and taking advantage of that to Stunlock enemies as a form of defense... I took that concept and combined it with my RT build I was tinkering and came up with this build....

I may still move the points from the reduced/increased mana nodes in the Templar Area and move them over to the Regen/Mana Rate modes, or just leave them open if I decide on another Jewel slot or something, but I really like the stats this build puts up.... I restarted my Mara since I had too many points to reset so as I level I'll see just how well this build does.

This one is more expensive, has more dps, but less survivability.

Well I'm now lvl 80, build and Hegemony's Era are both awesome, I'm having a ton of fun. I rarely play melee but this character may be my main this league.

Since I play solo and like to have some rarity on my characters, I've done some slight changes. My Leap Slam is 5L with Faster Attacks, CoH, Warlord's Mark, Blood Magic. And Flicker is 4L with Fortify, Culling and Item Rarity. Leap Slam is not the best to curse, I may have to find something later, but for now it works and I really like to have culling + rarity. I may also take another jewel node soon, I've crafted some ok ones.

Finally, I took the marauder starter nodes I did not plan to take. They'll be more useful that the duelist dps ones (at the bottom).

What do you think of the Unyielding Node? 30% Armour and 20% reduced extra damage from critical. The 2 nodes that lead to it give 14% armour each. I'm considering taking it over the three 5% life nodes in the Scion side of the tree.

By the way, selling this sick huge crit 500 dps staff which performs like a charm for this build. That 60% passive crit without charges tho :)

I did spec into Unyielding myself on my Warbands char. It's an awesome node. I included it in the FAQ already previously, now I included it in the passive tree as well.

Could you post stats screenshots? I run a very similar build with my templar and wanna compare the effectiveness of our builds (I invest more into mana stuff)

As of now I do 75-80k DPS when all charged up with: (no abyssus)


And have 5-6k Armor without buffs (normally also got 4 endurance charges, molten shell and fortify)

I also have a few questions about the effectiveness of certain clusters if you have any experience with them, namely the: combat stamina and martial experience clusters

I'm on holiday atm, but I know the stats by heart.

I play with determination and arctic armour, with full charges i'm at 44k dps in a 5L, have 16k ar + 3 endurance charges. I prefer playing that way because the dps is more than enough, and it's safer, you die less.

If I use hatred and herald of ash instead, I'm at 73k dps with charges in a 5L, but 9.5k armour only, which is not enough for my preferences.

Combat stamina is very nice, but unyielding might be slightly better cause of the reduced damge taken from crits. Martial experience is also nice, but I didn't spec into it cause this build has enough dps nodes and it's always important to ensure a minimum of survivability with 2h builds.

I see our playstyle is slightly different then, but how much % mitigation do you get out of those massive buffs? (you can get back to me after your holidays haha)

Edit: nvm watched your video! thanks for the response!

Edit 2: I was also trying to figure out why my dps is not much higher than yours considering I'm getting inc crit strikes and faster attacks but apparently your tree has 74% more dmg than mine, and that somehow compensates for both those gems :/

Edit 3: LOL those nodes make a huge difference taking half of them now I'm sitting at around 85k, cheers
