Divination Card Update

WAIT A GOSH DURN MINUTE. You need 5 cards to make one item happen? Damn i missed that somewhere...

Can someone please please PLEASE tell me why i would want low level uniques on div cards when you can buyem off a guy for >=1c?

The drop rates must be extremely high on some of these ie. 5-10x higher than the actual lifesprig, but then again... why?

I understand the x3 chaos card kind-of... but uhh how much is a person going to presumably charge for one of these x3 chaos cards? 1 alch? 4 alts? This completely takes away from its actual value.. Again, the drop rates are hopefully very high..

Your assuming that everyone who makes these cards is going to be trading. Having cards for low value items allows people to deterministically farm for a particular item without having to trade. So if they need a life sprig they can farm for one rather than hope for a lucky drop.

The same can be said for chaos divination cards. You could specifically farm for chaos orbs for crafting purposes.

Personally I'm not sure why someone might want to do this, but they paid the money so they get to make the card.

Additionally there are a number of issues with card numbers and rarity balance on these cards that still need to be addressed So saying "I need to get "X" cards to get "X" item, why bother?" is a but premature since we don't know the specifics yet

Hope that clarifies things a little bit
Hermit art should be remade.
That comic style with those edgy shadows and cube shaped fist really doesn't fit in poe.

These cards should rather have amateur handpaint style on timeworn crafted paper, like some old wise men painting these cards, and not clean photoshop-drawing-program style

(Also, the picture doesn't show any interesting moment about the hermit, just ordinary people hanging out with each other in the background, and there is the hermit, obsessed with his lifesprig.)

D3 treasure goblins's escape portal is an entrance to Wraeclast

I can certainly see use for it, when you're at the beginning of the league. No currency and retarded prices everywhere.
I would just like to give a huge thank you to all the highgate supporters. Firstly they coughed up the cash to keep this game rolling which hopefully means we will continue to see more content and maybe even those 10 acts we all are dreaming of.

More importantly you are contributing your ideas and personal flavor to the game. I wouldn't have picked what you did but that is what is great about these submissions. They are ideas and thoughts of other people from the community that I probably wouldn't even thought of myself. So please when you see someone making a comment about your card that they would have done this better or that better, just remember they are more then welcome to purchase a card and do just that. The rest of us really appreciate what you have done for the game, awesome work. Don't let the haters bring you down they are just jealous and frankly from what I have seen just plain ignorant.

But there's already a chaos orb recipe.

Please don't do this. Just let us farm wherever, don't force us into a few specific areas. I love variety, and fixed farming zones limit that.

Uhm, dude, they already announced fixed farming zones for div cards. Ages ago. They're guaranteed. Give up all hope.

However, they can't guarantee "and no other card can drop there", because there are a limited number of zones, but a theoretically unlimited number of divination cards.

Edit, sorry for double post, I'm so used to announcement threads moving faster.

Someone actually paid 1100$ to make a LIFESPRIG card? Holy shiet. On top of that Lifesprig requires equally many cards as 3x Chaos orbs? Are lifesprig seeing a mage buff or what?

Way to read. The stack sizes are placeholders. Not only that, even if they are the same number of cards, the drop frequency may be different.

Dam, the lost love card got such a awesome art. I imagine the supporter is super happy

I am. :-)
I find the art on most of those cards cheap, way too simple/generic & in general not of the quality I was expecting, I'm sure GGG is capable of something much better than this, I am a sucker for good art & the current art is not good at all :/ I just hope that what we see atm is not in the final stage & they have plans to replace them with much better ones.
