No but they knew DAMN well A4 was coming out and they were developing Act 4 long long ago before even some of these packs/supporters packs were made.

It's not bothering me. I'm aware of what beta testing is. Most of the people complaining are viewing this as VIP Access to a game, instead of beta testing of software.

If there was not going to be an open beta, I'd be more inclined to agree with some of your points, but the plan is that everyone is going to get access before release AND it will get more polished and closer to the release state as more people get that access.

I think you are worrying way too much about this. By the time of release, you'll be ready to race or whatever you want to do in the game.

People complaining about the fact that they are giving beta access to players who have given at least 1000 dollars to GGG are a bit dull. Id say those players absolutely deserve to play their 6-8 week beta test. It doesn't make the game P2W at all, it just recognizes the contribution those players have made to the community and the game as a whole, with out many of those people there wouldn't even be an act 4 to beta test or at the very least it wouldn't be nearly as good as it is.

Yes you might have helped them a little but acting entitled is not going to get you anywhere. This is NOT a P2W system as you CAN'T buy supporter packs right now.
I have supported GGG with over $1000 in packs and I understand why they chose the top tier only. The game would not be here for you to complain about if those supporters were not there at the time.
As for the advantage, if you are watching streams, you can learn all you need to know for when you gain access yourself. Make a spreadsheet or a notepad document with all the things you need to test for yourself and test them when you can.
This is why there is no embargo on any beta action. Everyone can watch the new content in action and think of builds they can use.

i do agree that big-time supporters should get a key for closed beta, yes. but at the same time i think the people that supported in small numbers over the years deserve something too. No one can say I am whining because i want a key, i have not paid anything on this game. i just simply cannot afford it, i need to eat, and a roof over my head. On the other hand, it could also be said that none of them deserve the key. They all got something out of those packs, which means they are entitled to nothing. Are owed nothing. there is an argument for both sides, and i can see where both are coming from. honestly though, i don't think people should whine so much for a key. I'm not so sure but i think there will be an open beta, i mean, it only makes sense to have one. the people that didn't get a closed-beta key actually get a better reward. they get to enjoy the polished version without the headaches and bugs. If you think about it the time waited is proportional to the enjoyment you'll get when you finally get to play. just chill guys, you'll get it. i dont think GGG will be douches and make events right off the bat, they'll give everyone else time to experiment a bit im sure.

Meh, if i was Chris i would have just given CB keys to whoever i wanted, like all of them, he didnt. Hell, i wouldnt of even advertised CB, all this crying on forum does nothing for the game.
