The Awakening Item Page and Top-Tier Supporter Beta Access

I want to apologise. *Again*.

Anytime monkuar misuses the word 'nepotism' is completely my fault for using it correctly in reference to a streamer giving a key to a friend when keys given to streamers are typically for giveaways and competitions.

That is nepotism.

I know for a fact that at least one GGG employee is related to the boss, which could be classed as nepotism but is actually just 'a family business'. Nepotism is when a family member or friend is given preference PURELY because they're family or friends, and more worthy candidates are overlooked.

As for 'giving keys to supporters'...that's not just not nepotism, it's almost the opposite, since it's favouring strangers with money OVER friends and family.

I would argue that my usage of it thus holds...but no other example in this post is 'nepotistic'.
https://linktr.ee/wjameschan -- everything I've ever done worth talking about, and even that is debatable.

Since many of you will have lots and lots of free time while you WAIT for the beta content to be open, here is a great cookie recipe:

Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies (makes about 4 dozen!!)
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 1/4 cups packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (12 ounces)
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans, coarsely chopped (optional)

Directions
Heat oven to 350° F. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda.
Using an electric mixer, beat the butter and sugars on medium-high speed until fluffy, 2 to 3 minutes. One at a time, beat in the eggs, then the vanilla. Reduce speed to low and gradually add the flour mixture, mixing until just combined (do not overmix). Mix in the chocolate chips and nuts (if desired) by hand.
Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of the dough onto baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
Bake, rotating the baking sheets halfway through, until golden around the edges but still soft in the center, 12 to 15 minutes. Cool slightly on the baking sheets, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely. Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.

You're welcome.

Thanks!

Still, you can't deny that people with Chicken MTX have early access to Eggs MTX, and therefore cookies are P2Eat!

MMMmm, the smell of baking cookies. What were we talking about again?

So both of you are programmers and have seen the code base for Path of Exile, thereby making you qualified to state what is easy and what is not?

Yes - apparently beta testers can try out Vendor chocolate chip cookie recipes, and everyone knows chocolate chip cookies are OP!

Perhaps somehow he feels more worthy yet overlooked like you say, though I cant think what would give him that impression. Nevertheless it's not nepotism.

You better. It's a slap in the face from all those self entitled players to GGG. It's atrocious and sickening that players are stooping this low.

Fixed your quote for accuracy.

We are entitled to a equal level playing field in Wraeclast.

If there is no equilibrium going on. That = P2W. This topic is proof.

I realize the errors of my ways now. It was like a blinding Sartori when I asked the Zen master:

"Is fashion an opinion?"

and the Zen master answered:

"Your question is irrelevant, I am a fact."

Okay God. I'm glad you can foresee the future and know all and can read minds.

It's not just my opinion, it's a fact!

Nope. It's the fact that he let supporters into the beta that donated over a certain threshold.

So, if the threshold had been lower it would no longer be P2W?

Another thing that boggles my mind is:

Let's add a FUCKING timer that count down every 5 minutes and randomly chooses a player and gives them a beta key. That completely undermines EVERY SINGLE loyal player they ever had on this forum

Kind of like dinosaurs undermining humans?

The timer existed long before almost every poster and player of PoE.
