Well just done reading 14 pages all I have to say is
imma go be lucky enough to join day 1 (I pray)

Well if we assume they have 100k beta signups and 1 key every 5 mins that's 288 keys during the first 24 hrs that gives you a 0,288 % chance to get in on first day. RNGjesus be with us all!

And I will take that chance its big enough for me better then the lottery

Can someone explain me what EB will do now? Don't quote what Chris said cause it'd be useless and this is the part I didn't understand though. Maybe someone can give me an example? Thanks guys !

Well normally ES works as a Buffer for life, if you take damage it goes to es first before life, Blood magic wont use ES but stop it from regenerating. So now we got 2 possible ways how ES on mana could work.

1. like on life - damage goes to ES first before mana, really only any usefull in combination with Mind over Matter and even there kinda useless if any spell you use stops the regeneration like BM does

2. new mechanic where your mana costs go from the new mana-ES first, once ES is gone mana will be spent, ES will replenish when you dont cast for a while, depending on your ES regen start time. Zealots oath may or may not work, Ghost Reaver may work with %mana or life leech.

It's impossible to say how exactly it will work at this point really. Option 2 seems to be most likely, with Zealot's still applying and Ghost Reaver working off of mana leech.
I don't think I'd be quite so quick to assume that every skill and build I love is being nerfed into the ground (today it's crit tornado shot evasion, which every single aspect of sounds like it'll get nerfed) if it didn't happen EVERY SINGLE TIME a major patch is released. I have yet to go four months without my favorite builds or playstyles being rendered totally unplayable by nerfs. Really kinda takes the shine off new content when you gotta swallow the teeth that've been kicked in first.

Tornado Shot (and all other arrow skills) already have the non-shotgunning behaviour. This change will have no functional effect on Tornado Shot.

at least we can still use OP tornado shot lol

Aaaaah ok makes sense now. At least for the 2nd way. Thanks a lot !
I kinda see this as a buff though. Am I alone?

The development and changing of the game has never been and will never be tailored towards players of the permanent leagues aka character graveyards.
PoE has always meant to be a constantly changing, dynamic game. Get this and stop complaining.

Love the upcoming changes so far and are excited to find out how they affect all aspects of the game.

Keep up the good and hard work!

I keep hearing this (also I don't understand why temp leagues are consider to be so more leet than perm leagues). Can you or anyone else point to a qoute from GGG stating this? On the contrary GGG seems to be careful not to destroy the value of existing items. People thought that the nerf to Acuity would make them drop in price but price hasn't changed.

That said I think you have to live with changes. There is always a risk that change is coming and existing builds and items might become useless. Every game (at least those I have played) is like that.

theres a thing that developers need to have in mind: rpg game players love that sense of completion when you pimp the char to perfection. if you can never say that your char is done because it can be completely destroyed in a single patch

i personally don't like character perfection because a goal reached ceases to be a goal. does that make me less of a rpg player?

yes, theres a thing that developers need to have in mind: but it's mainly to keep players busy by creating new goals for them to reach.
some do it by releasing expansions which are destroying your efforts by creating better weapons stats and periodically increase the level cap of your characters.

ggg is challenging you by letting you constantly recreate or reinvent your character without wiping your inventory or making your precious high end weapons useless while keeping your high end char a high end char, expansions mainly go sideways.

if i had the choice again i would go for ggg's method. always.
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
