What happens when Closed Beta starts tomorrow?

I play on Standard and i know a lot of people that do the same thing cause don't wanna restart from zero. You said PoE is not designed for Standard char, so explain me why the hell Standard exists.
If the final purpose of GGG is killing Standard and force players enjoying it to quit, i think they can say this clearly without all of these heartbreaking "patch notes" and endless nerfs.

Hey. So about this Beta. I currently am running PoE on a Macbook via the Wine Port made by one of the users. What I'm curious about is whether the Beta will be updated onto this client and only those selected may create characters for it , or do we have to download a SEPARATE game altogether? Because if it's the latter then there won't be Mac support to run it :<

Look at the time-stamp. It was posted 21.5 hours before the countdown timer ends. That would've been almost universally "tomorrow" at the time of the posting.

Im simply wondering about this part:

"Critical strike chance and attack speeds of Weapons."

We know base crit chance on weapons is getting a re balance (and that is probably a good thing).
But the part about attack speed is what worries me. Less crit chance and less attack speed (if thsi happens to be the case) would lower the dps of many attack builds.
Although the gem skills will get multiplicative damage to compensate, it will make the playstyle of attack builds slow. Forcing them to root for more time while attacking.
Also, there are already many weapon types that nobody ever touches simply of their base attack speed.
Are the changes going to make it worse? Balance things out by lowering/upping aps appropriately?

Instead of complaining about how those changes MIGHT destroy your character maybe start thinking about what you could possibly GAIN from them.

As an example sicne it gets alot of negative feedback here without people ever trying it take the EB changes. Sure EB wont auto enable high level AA anymore. But it might enable other playstyles. First thing that comes to mind: ignore mana completely and reserve all of it with auras, get EB and have a high ressource pool that refreshes quickly after not doing anything for a certain time.

You might need to invest some points in faster energy shield regeneration but its much more manageable than eg. a normal ES faster regen build (which work perfectly fine tbh) since you wont take damage to your mana pool from attacks, so the regen is guaranteed.

I don't get why there's so limited access :(
Wish I could find an explanation for this somewhere, maybe related to server capacity or some other solid excuse for postponing my motivation to play video games. Don't have the Internet to stream in proper quality so I'm prolly not even going to bother with that.

If anyone high up stumbles across this, please consider adding another economy reset that those of us who don't get in can enjoy. The combo-leagues that you did have been great and there are so many combinations. Even throwing Invasion at us again would make me want to play, I just need something other than standard and softcore.
