A potential change I'm keen to hear your thoughts on
I really like this idea. It makes EB a possible way to make a "no mana" build. With enough ES you could reserve all your mana and still use your skills.
It also makes sense that you wouldnt get double the effect from mana regen nodes when you use EB though there should be some easy way to make the Energy shield recharge speed a bit faster when its on mana. Maybe it raises in speed based on a % of the Mana regen that you have or something? (just an idea). Or maybe there can be hybrid ES/ES recovery nodes near the EB keystone. |

" I'm assuming mana regen does not affect energy shield in the new EB. Otherwise stuff like Clarity and 40% mana regen on items will break ES / CI / Low Life. It shouldn't be difficult to use Ghost Reaver + Life Leech / LGoH to recover. Or Zealot's Oath + Vitality + regen. Or both. EDIT: Sorry my brain froze. This has limited usage. How does mana gain on hit works if I have full mana, low ES and eldritch battery?

I like the idea. Allows for far more interesting decisions in terms of build creations and gameplay. Would love to test it if I get into CB.

The base idea is interesting and i've crafted a caster build that could work with MoM and EB (140% ES + 70% from int, ~90% increaed life. Might need more life though).
It's forced to use ghost reaver though, naturally. MoM makes ES take 30% damage, the majority of damage goes to life. This feels a bit fragmented, so you would be forced to chug health potions. What I would like to see is some passive clusters that give 2% of damage as ES (put it behind the EB keystone) Or; EB+MoM had hybrid flasks. How about flasks that give ES or HP/ES? basically it is a method for builds to reserve 100% of their mana bubble with auras while still having a moderately large mana pool, though tba it will probably be too clunky in practice since many builds that use eb go through thousands of mana pts in any given second

Changes to EB are pathetic. They should rather remove that keystone that left such abomination in casters area.
I applied for beta key, as I hoped to play it a little before quitting PoE for at least few months in May, but now I can as well give it away if I ever get it. Anticipation slowly dissipates...

A caster can still use it with MoM though, since ES takes 30% of damage inflicted, rest on life. Caster can also benefit from the extra auras.
