And the other stuff is just how it is,we don't have a passive tree, we don't have the 2.0 mana drain value's of AA or mana reserve cost of clarity. We don't know if skills are getting another mana cost rebalance. We don't know if the witch area is getting higher % mana regen value's and the melee part of the tree might see some of them appear. Meh, this is pointless since you guys are just dead set on shooting this concept down and calling nerf nerf out of fear. Understandable, but still pointless and premature. We don't have those values, but you know what we do have, that you seemingly don't? Basic knowledge of the game's mechanics. It has been stated that ES with EB will not recharge when using mana. People who play efficiently use mana non stop in and out of combat. If you are not using a movement skill you are playing wrong. Therefore ES will NEVER recharge when playing efficiently. Zealots Oath and Ghost Reaver are not viable options as a work around for casters because life casters need their leech and regen to affect...wait for it...their life. I suppose there could be passives gated by Eldritch Battery as well (for all we know).
How awesome would a ES regeneration passive be? (Separate from Zealot's Oath like: Regenerate 4% of ES per second.) I've always thought that changing mana regeneration to be higher than 1.75% and based upon unreserved mana max would be an alternate idea -- a reason to not use tons of auras. That would obviously make clarity a strange beast.

EDIT: Just reread my last paragraph and found it to be confusing. Here is an example.
Current mana regeneration is based on max mana pool. So 100 mana w/ 1.75% mana regen is 1.75 mana/sec (without taking into account mana regen increases from tree and equipment). Rather than that approach, you look at the unreserved mana. In the same example, you have 100 mana with 80 reserved so an unreserved 20 mana. If the percent mana regeneration was higher (say 5%) then you would have 1 mana/second. Alternately you could decide to reserve less or none to increase your mana regeneration. Without any reservation, your mana regen would be 5 mana/second. Won't happen, but would make using auras less absolute in decision making. Last edited by Nubatron on Apr 19, 2015, 7:23:58 AM

Yes playing efficiently means to constantly use skills/spend mana. Pick ghost reaver and zealot's oath is a clumsy way to go around it. What about the people that are actually taking the mom keystone from duelist alongside EB and dont have any way to leech es and if they could can barely spare the points to grab any other additional keystones if other ends of the tree. Should they stop casting and using any type of skills every time they take a bunch of hits or drain their es? Or should they drop their current chest and all start using the CoD that is so overused, hence the reason why the changes are planned?

It would still be loads weaker than my current atziri running incinerator but doing that sort of unique juggling act seems to be the only way to make a once simple build work.
