A potential change I'm keen to hear your thoughts on

" i was just pointing out that only clarity was essential, this change would make discipline better (if you dont have 30% of your total life as es already) im assuming that mana regen doesnt apply to the es part (i could be wrong here) , which is why you wouldnt need to run clarity |

If they are worried about CoD still than nerf the issue were it ultimately lies, nerf MoM to 20% and enough with the damn LEGACY GEAR!!! And revert all existing legacy's to current stat models...I have never understood why Legacy items exist, you obviously thought they were to powerful or you wouldn't of made the change to the items in the first place! But to leave them in play almost completely makes the changes unnecessary because people are just going to pass around the legacy's!
I will never understand some of the things you guys do! Just like 2-handers the problem could of been fixed by having a COMMON SENSE stat system! 2 Handers :Parry "just like in almost every game!!!" Dual Wield :Parry "just like in almost every game!!!" Sword and Board: Parry/Block with reduced caps to avoid over defensing! "just like in almost every game!!!" Evasion = Dodge, to dodge is to evade and to evade is to dodge...having both is mind blowing to me! One shouldn't exist simply because it makes NO sense at all, when logically they are the same! lol Anyways getting off track, get rid of legacy's and SO many future problems will not even show up because it's as simple as adjusting the damn item! But keeping them in play is just countering the nerf like I said because everyone is going to try and get their hands on the legacy version... Personally I see no issue with CoD, even with 425 mana regen/lvl 20 AA I still go OOM on hard fights like Trio,Death and Taxes, Poorjoy's, etc ...but maybe people have higher mana regen than that! All of my 'NOPE' wrapped up in a neat and tidy package with a pink ribbon.
The possibilities are pretty nifty to think about, and having it as an additional node behind Eldritch battery (like Mortal Conviction for Blood Magic) would be a pretty nice concept. But changing what Eldritch battery is currently to this? ...No...just...no... |

This change only makes Witches less diverse. Now they will only use CI or go to acro phase acro.

aa/mom was strong but required significant investment. Not really sure that anyone will take eldritch anymore.

It's nice to see you got your Charisma buffed back up. :D To expand, though - I think that this change is a herald of a larger, mechanical change around energy sheild regeneration methods that I think we either are overlooking or haven't witnessed yet. IN THE CURRENT TREE - investing in adequate ES and life regen nodes in order to sustain the mana intense skills that would run EB anyways would you require you to end up with a tree that looked like energy sheild based righteous fire character. Conversely, converting lifeleech to 'pseudo mana leech' sounds powerful, but then where does that leave your life, considering you just dropped your ES AND your lifeleech for utility. In the current tree, we don't have enough points to cover all the bases needed to make this work. THAT DOES NOT MEAN THE SAME WILL BE TRUE IN ACT 4!!!@1! We have already seen ES on hit on a jewel for the passive tree. Maybe just maybe we'll see some direct ES regeneration effects a la shav's revelation with or gated behind the new EB, or maybe a rework to ghost reaver (LL effectiveness 50%, applies to both ES and life? Maybe? Please?). Without such changes, this EB rework is garbage. But let us not forget that the entire passive tree can be considered Out Of Date with regards to this change. Nothing is sacred as they have shown, so we need to be patient and reserve our final judgements until we've actually got all the data to pour over. Both in and out of the passive tree. This is a huge change. And it will require huge changes to be effective. But no one's said that huge changes aren't coming. Let us be patient for a bit...I think our feelings on the current state of the change have been made quite clear - let's see what GGG makes of it.
