Keep in mind that he is in no position to reveal the release date, at least not yet. So there is nothing wrong about it.

in this thread: too many people getting upset over absolutely nothing.

staff looks cool, a4 looks cool, good times.

Have in mind, that one month league ends soon, and new leagues wont start until 1.4. There's no way there will be no leagues or anything within ~4 months period.

Give it a month or two, and we will have new act ^_^

if the reddit guys are right and you can use it right away as a leveling unique and after 6 linking it later one can replace one support gem with another skill gem. gives you 2 five linked skills in one item (or one 5 and a 4 linked if you add totem support for the second skill). pretty powerful, especially if you use the elemental equilibrium passive.

Like I said, my friend: abomination. I've already stated why I disagree with this item and what sort of direction for the game it represents earlier in this thread.

Besides, the reason no one is listening to you is because you are wrong, there are already plenty of items that are irreplaceble in certain builds, you can't take off a volls devotion in a mjolner discharger, you can't proc Vaal molten shell with your own hits without Scold's bridle, you can't replace Doon Cuebiyari in a Doon build since its BiS for strength stacking-spell caster builds, I could go on.

Yes. Obviously he doesn't want to announce the date in this post. But there are other ways to do that and using the word "year" with the language he did gives the reader an impression that it will likely be longer than a few weeks or a month.
