unique items *no longer updated*

Here's the thing guys. When talking about uniques being build-enabling and able to try new, interesting things...

What would you do with Storm Cloud? Seriously, what would you use it for? I'll tell you what: early game twink levelling. That is all it is good for. You can build around a facebreaker. You can build around Chober Chaber. You cannot build around Storm Cloud. By the time you reach even decently high levels, the damage output it provides is far outpace by a decent ele grove bow. Even if you have a hard-on for pure lightning damage, guess what: you can roll higher lightning damage on even a decent thicket. I guess I don't see the point in yet another twink bow.

is that still true with +ele damage from equipment/supports and taking the ASPD increase into consideration? you can't just consider the weapon on its own. Also how hard is it to get that perfect ele thicket bow.

Yes. It is. All it would take is a thicket with a max lightning roll of 75 and a low IAS mod to beat this bow in terms of pure lightning damage per second. Those aren't hard to find. And if we're talking just elemental damage, and not pure lightning, then it gets even easier - you just need 2-3 decent ele rolls.

These are the must have uniques for most of the viable end game builds and i would like to see more of them.


Just because a lot of builds use a few of the more universal uniques to fill in gaps (something I firmly disagree with in their design for balance purposes, but whatever) doesn't mean that rares aren't the best items in the game overall.

Making more uniques like that wouldn't do anything but push rares out of the BiS slots, something GGG has said over and over and over again they don't want. Uniques should be, well, unique, not on every character in the game. Just because the huge joke that is Kaom's exists doesn't mean more of them should.

Uniques that are still very, very useful if not top tier between the levels 60-85 should definitely exist though.

The problem is when uniques are inferior to easily attainable rare, not when they are inferior to the really good rares.

that is dumb. their should be nothing better then seeing gold lettering drop. when i first started playing this game thats what made me want to go out and kill.. the chance of a unique. now i am finding out that they are basically rubbish unless you like collecting items that might have a use in some specialized build.

coming to realization that i shouldnt be excited to see a unique drop hurts this game more then anything.

I don't know if this bow was made with LLD in mind, but it's pretty nice for low level PvP. It is almost best in slot if you consider only lvl 28 or lower base item bows, with max ilvl of 36.

Agreed 100% this is inarguable! We should never be disappointed to see a Unique item drop PERIOD! This is what killed Diablo 3..overly relying on rares to fill in that excitement for the player base is the wrong way to go and will cost this game just like it did Diablo 3. Such a goddamn shame resources are being wasted on these crappy ass "unique" items.

You should make unique's look more unique :) as you are not fixing the desync or anything else..maybe we will not sell common uniques to the vendor for some alch shards ( we will wear them to look cool when we die ) And where is the common/uncommon/rare uniques list ???

And skill rebalancing ??? why ?? you want like 60% of players to quit ?? of course you will keep the vip players(they already lost money so what the heck)

Drop rates of *uniques and curency is better,that's the only plus.( *common uniques )

And i asw written before "don't nerf the skills ,buff the mobs" i totally agree with that.
