"http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-forum/201 http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-forum/204 ... not sure what question you're trying to ask because nearly every gem has something unique about itself. and support gems add effects to other gems under certain rules or mixtures. |

PoE mechanics explanation really needs to be easier to find - i.e. not soley on the forums but officially posted somewhere on the website.
Cheers and happy gaming! :P edit: better yet, ingame codex should have all this stuff. Last edited by ben_ster#2760 on Sep 26, 2012, 10:48:58 PM

Does shocked increase damage from every source?
By this I mean does viper strikes poison damage (DoT) get multiplied in shocked state? IGN: N_Bohr Last edited by Ola#3288 on Sep 27, 2012, 3:27:01 PM

" Yes, both direct and DoT damage are affected by shock. |

How does reduced critical multiplier works when you take a crit from an enemy? Let's say you have both -15% crit damage taken from the marauder starting spot and a max lvl enfeeble curse active on an enemy with normal crit modifier.
Would the crit deal less damage than a normal hit? Build of the week #9 - Breaking your face with style http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_EcQDOUN9Y

" It's not reduced critical multiplier but less critical multiplier. So when you take a critical strike the result will be : base damage * 150% * (1 + %increased critical multiplier) * (1 - %less critical multiplier) |

Hey there, dnno if this is coevered yet or not
Does the diamond flask override the "always hits never crits"? |

" The wording here is very important, kissan. "You take 15% less extra damage from critical strikes" In a 150% crit, the 50% is the "extra damage". If you have 30% "less extra damage from critical strikes", you end up taking: 100% + 50% * ( 1 - 30% ) = 135%. General formula would be slightly more complex. Weaker than it would seem at a quick glance, but they're still very worthwhile points. " No, if you have RT you can't crit. -- I don't have alpha access, that was a LONG time ago.
