i would say it matters yes but obviously your tooltip will be wrong.

because?...
The only game you need to win at is on the internet.
it matters because your hit% is not affected by your level other than you get 2 accuracy points per level and your dex might be higher.

the tooltip will be wrong because it gives you a chance to hit based on your chance to hit an average monster of equal level to you so if you are running maps under your level those monsters will on average have less evasion rating than a monster the same level as you.

thanks that's all i needed to know/be confirmed.

Can mobs benefit from the same Aura twice?
Such as having a lower level Anger from a totem and a higher one from a Unique.

A question about Infernal Blow in combination with Elemental Proliferation:

I was wondering: If my initital hit made my target explode, can it still proliferate a possibly created Ignite by crit or bare chance? Or will only the explosion be able to cause (minor) burning damage?

I tried to google this question but I could only find contradictory statements.. Does anyone know for sure?
Any Fire damage can Ignite through Crits and Chance to Ignite, and can thus Proliferate. The initial hit deals Fire damage. It can Ignite.

(also, if the explosion is dealing minor Burn damage, the initial hit ain't going to be impressive either)

I was simply wondering cause there would be no corpse to be burning.

As far as I understood it the explosion is calculated by the maximum life of the monster I kill which in this case might result in way lower damage than the actual single target hit I did, right?

If you destroy the corpse, there can't be a proliferation.

And for the second question all depend on your build, gear, resist of monster... so yes the explosion can be much lower, but it could also be a lot bigger.

Oh right, good point! I forgot that Infernal Blow doesn't leave a corpse because I'm stupid.
The initial hit can only proliferate on non-killing blows.

The explosion damage is relative to monster life, yes, but with some Increased Fire Damage and Fire Resistance reductions (FPen and/or Flamm) it'll be plenty powerful to wipe the pack (especially if you kill a Magic or Rare monster!). The initial hit deals part-Physical and potentially also Cold/Lightning, and those don't count towards the Ignite damage. It can cause really powerful Ignites, sure, but it requires the same amount of effort as the explosion... But improving the explosion also boosts the direct hit. Doesn't work the other way around though.
Alright, so my assumptions made sense then. Thanks a lot guys!
