At the very least you can easily get 10-14% more hp in the two freed up gem sockets. True we loose 20% movement speed, but both Leap Slam and Whirling Blades scale only off attack speed. Plus, if you really want Onslaught still, grab a Silver Flask.

True. thanks.

Have to drop vinktar then i guess;)
IN previous league was using:
- bubbling hallowed of staunching,
- Wise oak,
- vinktar (add li dmg to spells, 20% of lil dmg leeched as life, enemies shocked, 10% increases dmg taken. The negative of the flask (shocked; 50% inc dmg on you) is no bother, since immune to shocks ourselves.
- Sulphur of warding
- Atziri's promise
Thank you for updating your guide. I have used the arc skill while leveling my blade vortex last time but arc made so much fun.

Mid league i spotted your guide and was hoping this build is still playable in 3.5

good start exiles!

Personally I'm considering skipping Fortify and using a 4L Lightning Warp instead. I won't really know till I play around this league and see where I end up. I've also considered Flame Dash + Faster Casting and again skipping Fortify, giving myself 2 gems to play with.

Here's an idea - you could grab 1L Vigilant Strike with The Vigil treshold jewel for a 35 second Fortify for you and your minions.

Could then pair it with Phase Run + Increased Duration + Arcane Surge for 19 second Arcane Surge (assuming 3 Frenzy Charge) for extra lazies. :)

Thanks man for this update .... again !

Me and Arc , rockin'it since 2014 !
I'm not looking after fortify, so a better movement setup is to drop [LS|WB]+ Flame Dash and socket a Lightning Warp + faster casting + reduced duration right ?

I plan to league start with this build, and transition into a poet's pen version (Arc+LW), so it's even better if my initial movement skill is already a LW. Am I missing something besides fortify, or it's just the best option if you don't care for fortify ? It also neglects the need for daggers early, and allow for quicker map clears (using good scepters instead of meh daggers)
Would Loreweave be better than Inpulsa’s for bosses such as Uber?
Am I getting this right? I should dual wield weapons of the same type, right? I'm asking because in all the linked videos, he is using a 1-hand and a shield.

Those are videos from 3.4.

Yes, you should either equip 2 scepters or 2 daggers.
@blg_RealiZe
That's true, i'm hoping here that the new crafting bench will be kind to us.

@dumass12
Leave it free for now, the gem setup may change a bit if Storm Brand makes it into the build.

@drinsane
Would require way too many changes to the setup, and witch may also not be the best option for CoC builds.

@xPressure
The mana nodes behind MoM help greatly with covering early mana costs and damage isn't high enough yet to make MoM become an issue.

@KingCrion
No need for quality in this build, you can just vaal them at Lv20. Would only recommend to go for 20/20 if you plan to use the Lapidary Lense in the Temple of Atzoatl in hopes to get a 21/20 Vaal Arc, assuming it will still be an option with the reworked temple.

@Glamour33
Any that are mentioned in the respective section pretty much. For helmets, a Shaped Bone Helmet should even turn out better than a non-shaped regular helmet with Arc Chains enchant.

@pitrek46
It has only been for +1 chests since Patch 3.4 now, the other supports are just better until that point.

@Aamar26
Tooltip DPS doesn't mean much, we have many damage increases that aren't reflected there. As long as you have the correct tree, gems, a high level Arc and the mentioned stats on gear it will be enough damage.

@Sith90Lord
Inquisitor is better for crit builds, Elementalist for non-crit in my opinion. The real strength of Elementalist is Beacon of Ruin, being able to shock every boss for 50% with a little investment and the ability to use Hypothermia are huge.

@Shock3r19711
Playstyle mostly, selfcasting is more active but in the end all three have to keep their range and avoid stuff. Selfcast also has the advantage of Inpulsa explosions, which are great for clearing and disable on-death effects and Detonate Dead.

@Bettr
You can temporarily take it if the resistance is needed, don't really have any reason why I didn't include it other than deciding not to.

@Schokoholzi
Yeah need to decide between either or to be able to use the respective movement attack skill.

@bibanul
Leap Slam just feels really bad, Flame Dash is more responsive but unfortunately can't proc Fortify.

@sotrill
Whirling Blades. The skill is just so fast once scaled with attack speed, Leap Slam is no comparison to that.

@ploxirion
Can only say to give it a try, maybe you need to add Rapid Decay to make LW feel good enough tho.

@Skism24
Could work, although never had any issue with Inpulsa at Uber Elder.

Thanks at everyone for pointing out the double Basalt Flask, guess I was too tired to notice that yesterday. Fixed it now!

Regarding the old Sceptre + Ahn's setup, it's still very viable but you will end up with significantly less damage. When comparing Shaper DPS with 20/20 gems, average gear and adjusted trees for either setup, Cerberus + Ahn's gives 607k DPS while 2x Cerberus would give 708k DPS. The difference gets even bigger when using daggers with the Ele gained as Chaos mod, 630k vs. 764k in this case. Real highend gear would increase this gap even further.

The loss of life is made up by life on jewels, mobility actually feels even faster once you do get some attack speed for your Whirling Blades. Leap Slam on the other hand feels pretty clunky to use, i've personally had issues avoiding some more predictable skills with it and would rather recommend Flame Dashing in that situation, and keeping Leap Slam just to proc Fortify.
