I think that they should make it so you can only get 1 Vaal fragment per hour in each
corrupted zone, so if you wanted to farm they you would keep playing an area until you get 1 from it and then have to go somewhere else to get more for an hour. This would make it harder to exploit and area and it will make players go and play different areas making it more interesting. |

What I don't understand is how they think this will stop low level CZ farming and "exploiting" by timing the load times?
It's not going to cut into that by any significant margin at all I would think. And yes, I'm sure this "works great in testing". In testing, you get Vaal Orbs FOR FREE Chris. That was a really poor comment. |

Probably not likely to change either giving that I have one full set of fragments and they we're gained whilst leveling up, and, I'm not likely to use them either since I only have one set and me using them would just be a waste since I don't even know what happens inside there. Even if its only a fairly small chance, fragments should still drop in regular maps. I don't see the problem with making separate avenues of getting these fragments, whilst the main way of obtaining them should always be more efficient.. having them drop in regular maps so those that choose that way of playing can indeed get an occasional run out of them. |

GGG, your design here is good in theory, bad in practice.
This change won't do anything in the real game. Most people aren't corrupting maps esp in HC leagues and this won't encourage them to. Why spend 1 vaal orb to MAYBE get a fragment when you can BUY A FRAGMENT FOR LESS. The whole design around aztiri gating is fucking dumb as shit. Corrupt side areas need to spawn in maps, and the bosses probably need a serious balance pass for it. You can't force an unattractive alternative to maps when there is no alternative end game and expect players to be happy about it. If we still had Maelstorm of Chaos and fragments could drop off a boss at the end of each area, THEN IT"D BE AN ALTERNATIVE. /sigh Edit: If we had them drop while players were running regular maps then they'd merely stockpile them and occasionally get some free Atziri runs out of their existing play. Approve of this change... but would still prefer if Corrupted Areas spawned in Maps.

" i use more vaal orbs than chaos to roll my maps... alch and go if the roll is nice, if it's bad i use a vaal orb to get massive iiq mods i use chaos orbs only if the maps has temporal chains or has impossible mods like vulnerability+extra cold dmg+-25%res or shrine map with monster dmg 4 projectile extra dmg it's going to be very hard for me to keep using vaal orbs since many people will buy them... unless they buff the drop rate Last edited by InAshesTheyShallReap#0055 on Nov 10, 2014, 12:26:40 PM
