So I'm trying to make an ice nova build myself for the 1 month and my main struggle so far has been dealing with the mana cost. I'm only sitting on a 4link right now due to gear restrictions and I still have to use a mana potion occasionally in addition to my well-leveled clarity, which means that moving to the 5 link will likely gimp me completely.

Do you have any suggestions for managing the mana costs here? I've got quite a few jewel slots so I'm thinking of focusing on 5% reduced cost jewels, but that will only end up saving me about 10-15 mana per cast if I get perfect jewels, compared to the ~60 its costing me now

whats your level and what links do u have on ur ice nova? also, what auras u use?

Right now I just hit level 55. I have 20% mana regen from the Scion tree and I'm 2 points away from getting another 40% and some max mana if I decide it's necessary, which right now I'm starting to feel that way.

Current links are Ice Nova -> Spell Echo -> Cold Penetration -> Concentrated Effect. I'll probably be adding life leech and vaal pact with my 5th link.

Clarity is level 14 at the moment, but I'm worried because the more I level it up the less mana I have to work with, which makes flasking even more necessary and causes me to run out in longer fights. The only other Aura I'm using is Herald of Ice. Basically the only thing keeping me going is the fact that I have so much damage I can kill all the content before I run out of mana, and I have time to regen between packs. Bosses I've just been dropping a 4linked flame totem and letting that do most of the work :/

I'd like to avoid using a mana flask entirely, if possible. Not sure if it's better to invest in reduced mana cost, increased aura strength, or something else entirely here. Since it's a 1 month league getting a level 3 enlighten is probably out of the question, but I'm thinking a level 2 is probably within reach if that helps.

Alright.
First, your gems should be: Ice Nova - Spell Echo - Faster Casting - Conc.Effect.
This will lower the mana needed for Ice nova, and also better combo for ur level and links.

Second, get +mana on your rings and amulet (if possible mana regen too - not a must).
Do you warp inside packs and dual curse them? becuase thats our main mana leech.

You're still in the 'making' phase so its okay to have issues.

Hey I was kinda wondering if you'd be able to help me. I am currently level 81 and I am sitting at 41k dmg with flask+6 power charges and I cannot understand what I have done wrong? I am following that skill tree and with 5l pledge of hands + only 4 linked carcass. I have the exactly same gem setup, level 19 in every skill gem. so how come you have like 100k more damage? I am missing a empower but that shouldnt do 100k damage difference.
please help.

Hi there! I have reached level 87 with this build and am absolutely loving it. My damage with power charges and flasks is only 42K but I still need to get a 6 link pledge with a better roll, level/quality my gems to 20, and pick up some power charges on the skill tree. But still this build is AWESOME!!!!

The only question i have is will this build be updated by someone when the new patch comes out and the skill tree is changed around????

I wonder why no Spell Echo is used? It could be used instead of faster cast.
