No actually prices are very low in standard for most things like Stone of Lazhwar. What I meant is a brand new unique like Reckless Defense jewel there are few of them available just because no one is playing standard right now. So the price would be higher. You can get good spell block just with the cheap stone of lazhwar and rainbowstride boots. The jewel will come down in cost to the 1 chaos level on standard eventually as it is in Perandus because there are a ton for sale. No rush to get that last piece though.

I just have to comment cuz this build is so detailed it deserves love.

Sovyn, thank you for the amazing guide. I just started playing and made it into A2 Cruel before the struggle bus ran me over, repeatedly. I made a shadow using a bow, was failing horribly, then made it into A2 using flameblast and absolutely hated it. I'm unsure as to what I was doing wrong, still, but someone kindly told me to just come search the forums and actually follow a build.

In all other games, I played a tank. Your guide reminded me of this style and being so detail oriented, I figured this was the best way for me to start. I love the idea of not having to buff or curse manually and am excited to finally find those skills and get them set up. My first true play through of the game will be using your Lazy Pally, or at least my unknowing noobish attempt at it. The only worry I have is gear. Hopefully I am able to make proper decisions with items I find in game. There is such a large learning curve here, thank you for helping me on the right path.

Hi Sovyn,

One thing I discovered last night was the support gem elemental focus. At first, I didn't think much of it when it dropped for me, but then I remembered that the Inquisitor class has 100% increased crit chance on enemies not affected by an elemental status ailment; which just so happens to become a permanent feature of a skill when supported by elemental focus. Now, I can't tell yet, but I think this combo may be faster at burning bosses? I was wondering if you could test it with your method since I have no baseline test data or your exact test methodology. I do not know how often bosses are affected by an ailment since I usually only pay attention to health bars.

My guess is maybe slightly better at bosses but slower clear speed with regular monster packs?

I started leveling the gem already but it will be forever until I get a 20/20 one to fairly compare with my other supports. I think that I'm at the point that my static strike does enough damage where I may be shocking bosses for the 50% extra damage which would outweigh the elemental focus benefits. You also have to consider that any of the three supports I'm giving up adds a huge chunk to my tooltip DPS already so I think it would be close at best.

Hi there, the skill trees do load for me. The PoE website is sometimes slow. The loading counter that goes from 0-99% sometimes gets stuck. Perhaps try hitting the refresh key (F5) if it takes too long. On broadband it should load in about 10-15 seconds.

I love the playing style of this max block Pally, some how I'm facing issue staying alive in Cruel Act 1. It seem large mobs swarm me and kinda kill me in 5 seconds.

Am I doing anything wrong? Im Lvl 45 now.

No questions yet, I haven't had much play time yet but I flew through the first act. I was well ahead of my level and killed bosses in seconds. I moved so fast and confident, that I forgot to even pick up some cold resist rings for the ice boss at the end. It didn't matter, crushed her. I have started to use the static attack skill, instead of the molten one (I'm sorry, I'm at work and can't quite remember their exact names) and the static one seems nowhere near as good as the molten one. I'm just trying to keep it leveled at the moment though..

Really excited. Thanks again. Will refrain from posting anymore junk until I've made it somewhere worth sharing. Love it.
