Lots of bitching on the go here.

I find one can control the spawn rate if you just keep moving.

One annoying part is the loot drop and the darn life regen they all seem to have on them.

Otherwise I'm plodding along most likely slower than others, with my second toon now.

Yeah. I don't think the concept is bad. I'm actually quite pleased with it. I just wish the mobs weren't so incredibly tanky that it's not worth the effort to kill them.
I have not played beyond league yet, sounds like a case of the reward is not commensurate with the risk involved though, similar to early invasion when most people just ran past the invaders... except in beyond you apparently can not out run them. Looking forward to making a beyond char and RIP ing a few times though
Going to chime in as well. Beyond is pretty disappointing so far (Level 40). Maybe it gets better in maps? I haven't tried Rampage league yet.

The mobs have far too much life and the ones with haste auras spawn too frequently. But the thing that really pushes my buttons, is that they never drop anything good. It's like Invasion league all over again. Where's the reward for the risk?

The concept is good, but the tuning is way off. All my friends already got mad and quit, lol. Guess I need new friends.
Should I be concerned that I actually like the Beyond league a lot and really enjoy the variety and difficulty it brings to the game?
So you guys wanted a hardcore league with less to kill and no difficulty? Such whiners.

They seem tanky because you are using selffound trash gear on day one. When you have your leveling uniques they will be much easier but still dangerous.
When I kill a man he stays dead.

No you should not. I liked it as far as i could play. Only thing i would change is the fact that most of the time i didnt even have time didnt see the tiny portals before they spawned the monsters as a suprise.

Tedious, annoying, a waste of time... those are the best ways I could describe it. They're not even hard mobs, they just have so much HP, almost always have a ridiculous life regen aura, and drop absolutely nothing.

I get that they can't make drops too good in PoE because then people would get geared too fast and stop playing sooner rather than later, but they literally drop white items and that's it. Just a complete waste of time.

The Hardcore leagues were always for masochists. :)
I, for one, only get excited hearing about what you people complain.
I still have 10 hours to go before I can join Beyond, though.

I usually barely play hardcore leagues, but invasion was really fun, and Ive played it the longest out of any hardcore league (which was still not very long)

I must somewhat agree with one of the resident qq kings though. the beyond bosses and packs are annoying as hell. think of selective fracture mod which spawns tough magic and a tanky rare, not to mention the boss.

the invasion bosses were overtuned, but they were fun. these portals are not fun. they are a chore at low levels with shitty gear, kinda like fractured mobs are to undergeared mapdoers.

they might provide good exp in maps, as kind of extra magic pack, but then Im sure they are also much much stronger.
