Well, update on this one:

The person that decided to throw down the Beyond-rare mob with a haste aura, increased crit chance aura, chaos degen and a sturdy phys dmg attack should be slapped across the face.

1.20b only fixed half the problem- the tier 2 beyonders, which probably account for well over 90% of total portal spawns, are still harder than most rares or minibosses and still drop next to nothing.

The spawning of beyonders could really use a short, telegraphed delay as well.

Indeed. It's pretty silly to smack on 5 skeleton archers and suddenly get manhandled by 4 massive swordwielding humanoids that can outrun you times 10.

You dont have to grind over and over at all, just pick up some random rare items and you'll do fine with these portal monsters. At least in normal difficulty.

In cruel gearing up requires a bit more effort like linking sockets and crafting some base stats like life etc., but that's nothing new...

I don't think the bosses are too powerful at all, they should offer a good challenge which they do. They are balanced pretty good actually, in line with the progression curve from what I've seen up to cruel act 1.

Only occasionally they spawn with pretty insane mods, like haste and chaos aura combinations..

The only complains I have is diversity and rewards for these portal monsters. Especially the reward part is getting a bit annoying when you invest a lot of time, effort and flask charges in order to kill these bosses and when they die I should feel lucky that a rare drops. This was the case during normal difficulty at least. A guaranteed rare wouldnt be too bad imo...

Just fought and killed Haast, Unrelenting Frost. I saw how to fight him effectively but because I'm in Beyond league with the mentality of if I die I have to start over, my mind simply would not hug him... I ate crit ice spear after crit ice spear and nearly killed myself to running away from the biggest glacial cascade you will ever see... after I think about 8 portals he died I probably would have done it with 2-3 if I had the balls to dive him.

I enjoyed the fight but I've come to realise that I'm probably more sadistic than most PoE players and see why they would absolutely hate it and rage on the forums about it.

Ephij, Bameth, and Abaxoth are the remaking Beyond unique bosses I have remaining to see, and kill. Give me a week or two to get the remaining ones before you nerf them all GGG, please.

Oh and this is Merciless Beyond. Get your masters to craft you some iron balls because running away from these bosses seems to lead to death 90% of the time.
its not really balanced they are weaker now in terms of tankiness but their offensive potential is still the same

you kill the first wave the second spawns and so on in the end you have 8-12mobs left supported by 10+ monster auras (the good ones like haste crit/critmulti/reflect) in the middle the unique boss who spawns skeles on interval while supported by all these auras

this is not even exaggerating the lesser rares are somewhat ok from time to time they spawn with undying mod
the uniques do a ton of dmg and the weird archer barrage i have no idea what that is it hurt alot

in addition to that everytime you fight a strongbox spawn you will fight beyonds aswell

I don't get this post. You are leaving the rares alive? There is an infinitely small chance that if you blow up a screen of small mobs you get enough portals to instantly summon a unique boss. As it stands, you either have to be pretty stupid, not care, blind, or intentionally spawn unique bosses in Beyond. In the very vast majority of cases they are completely avoidable. The rare mobs are very common but you can spread out the larger portals to never spawn a unique if you wish to. I have not been trying to avoid nor spawn unique bosses and I've managed to fight them about 5 times so far from levels 1-59.

So I've managed to spawn a boss less than once every 10 character levels..... that is pretty damn uncommon for a play style that isn't even trying to avoid spawning them.

You guys remember them unique bosses on every single map you entered? I guess even strong rares are too much for "hardcore" players to handle these days. No need to even mention the unique bosses.

like always it depends on the build you play i play 2h groundslam so your advice for me is skil run half a screen and skill ?

not going to happen

dualtotem or caster can play like that kite shoot kite shoot you would be retarded if you try that with a melee

i'm now lvl 43 in act 2, and i sadly have to agree with the majority of the posts in this thread. the portals spawn far too often, chaos damage is far too prevalent, and give barely any reward. players are discouraged to kill mobs, and trying to farm effectively is basically impossible since killing large groups of monsters results in beyond demons which have ridiculous speed and little to no reward.

why a league that punishes clearspeed? what makes path of exile fun? i'm really sad this league turned out this way.
