Because armor nodes are meaningless without base armor.
lvl 20 grace = 2k EV = armor. Carcass Jack > EV > IR = Armor . Alpha's Howl > EV > IR = Armor. You can use any hybrid rare armors they all will benefit you regradless of armor type. You can still take those armor nodes then and then they will actually scale of something. Like right now if I remove my astral trash chest and equip Carcass Jack I would have 302 armor LOL and that would go even lower as I intend to use Alpha's Howl to tweak Auras, so not that much armor to scale off for armor nodes. Meh when I remove my unique shoes I got 316 mp regen :( neeeeeeeeeeeed fix to 350 lol.



New temp Helmet & Gloves now thanks not to having shield im undercaped on lightning res =_= gotta get different belt or get lightning res on rare shoes ...




But yes once you get searing touch you might as well go heavy on dps if you want instead. I just feel there is damage already but not quite enough physical damage reduction on hard encounters... Nobody wants to go WTF JUST HAPPNENED TO ME T^T when you got hit by some truck steroid physical something.

Started a character with this build in mind in bloodlines.
Looks easy to level with blast/searing and it looks awesome late game.

Let's see if I will ever get my hands on a searing touch...

Gl leveling! im current lv 62 in bloodlines with all self found gear:


droped this 6socket chest and 2 fuse to 5link, dmg its quite decent for a3m, but not enough yet, im going to start farming docks today!

What is your opinion on sunblast? Is it a good choice for a belt in hardcore leagues?

I will go self found most likely too as I want to save all my currencies for the searing touch.

Will post gear and progress later.

it's a good belt for trappers, but i dont think for us, this build alrdy have a lot of dmg and not worth losing your life and resistances of the belt.

Is an option if you can cover resistences... I know I can't not with my current gear...

Managed to get Carcass Jack by killing my piggy bank lol.

Next thing to do is to get shoes with 30% MS and cold res since im not capped on that... Gotta sort my flasks too .. Gonna utilize smoke mine for boxes lol

Heading towards constitution which is break point then have to either go towards IR or go temporary with more dps nodes. Maps 74 and under shouldn't hit too hard on easier modes. With what I have is like 4% physical damage reduction lol which goes up to 16% with 3 endurance charges... Gonna have to squeeze in Spell echo for Endu cry for fast more charges per cast.

NEED SHOES SO BAD.

Edit: OKAY ! Got new shoes for 1 chaos rofl not the best but serves the purpose of MS and caps me out on cold res... Mind you need more chroms to get RRRR on that shoes and swap faster casting with increased duration. Gems in chest changed to Endu cry + spell Echo , AA , Smoke mine (was kinda short on sockets so its temp solution for oh shit situations , use as insta anchor lol ).

All this shizz puts me on 3.5k hp bit over cap on res 380.9 mp so woohoo another benchmark behind me, time to farm that orbs for dem Alpha's Howl. 458 armor lol 6% physical damage reduction (18% with 3 endu charges)

Hey there. This build looks really good. I want to ask if this would be viable with a Scion too because i currently have a 103 point lvl 83 scion that i could use for this build. And is this build viable for fast 75+ map farming too?

use the geofri 4l and find a weapon with a high spell/ele/fire dmg
