[1.1] [1.2] [1.3] [2.0 RIP build]. Maawk Firetrapper

So all I could see we care about in patch notes is:

Arctic Armour has had its physical and fire damage taken when hit reduced at high levels. By gem level 20 they are reduced from -189 to -161. But then again it affects many builds that relies on AA lol.

:(

Other then this build is still intact. :)

Still sticking to my 51-70-90-99 pts progression as posted few pages ago.

the tree its updated, i posted a 99 pts and a 110 pts trees and the changes is up to you, you can make any variation, grabbing more life, more defenses, more dmg, i just recommend doing this while playing, with that you can go into the game.

any questions, sugestions, pls let me know!

for who is doing the build in the next leagues i just wanna say thank you a lot and have a lot of fun playing, like i do.

do only fire and elemental damage nodes , increases the initial hit, increases the burn damage , and also increases the burning ground damage. ?

or spell damage nodes too ?

spell damage increases the tooltip but dont scale very well, elemental/fire damage scales better with tooltip, initial hit and the burning ground and its easier to stack playing with templar.

Fire damage / elemental damage nodes works better since works both for initial hit as well as burning ground part and works with searing bond too lol. Searing bond is your friend if you don't have curreency / gear to actually have decent clearspeed for early / mid lvling.. Flameblast is cool but need casting speed :/ or else you could fall asleep casting it lol.

Btw build works nice. Even tho I am unable to get my hands on Searing touch due to supply vs demand = prices on Torment or Carcass Jack that is as highly wanted.. Currently lvl 56 on torment using 3L Fire trap and 2L Searing bond + Flammability lol.

That's my gear I been using for a while, have a giggle xD

lol much

Now in merciless I really need some upgrades cause my resists are down to 73/33/34, so gonna have to spam Ledge to get some little currency / whatever drops since I had no luck with anything all I had was white 5L chest that sold 8c =_=, so I'm skinned xD. Been playing with 1 hp flask and 4 quicksilvers all normal / cruel (apart from dominus due to fps drop..) and was really easy lol. But atm I'm more reliant on Searing Bond then fire trap due to dmg output with little links and gear available.

Tree progression was rather defensive for me... habit from HC lol :P

But must say its been piss easy with pretty much whatever I dropped lol (which explains gear in spoiler xD).

Time to get upgrades D:

Everything is a piss until a3 merciless is pretty much when stuff starts to actually have more hp and do more dmg ;/

I decieded imma go lil tankier for mapping I think... gonna post soon lol. But yeah been a breeze until end of A3 merci. You know we got those funky roaming gosts that posses rares / exiles and buff them up with skills etc. I have met quite a few of "beefed up" exiles already and they did hit really hard xD It wasn't funny I had to run lol. Hence I decided imma build tankier coz: I can't afford god damn Searing touch / Carcass Jack lmao so I use what ever trash I find or 1-2 chaos range items i spot on xyz. Currently using:

Droppeed that chest hands and +2 fire gem scepter lol, bought belt 1c and shield 2c but had to craft missing resist. All that puts me 100 / 101 / 98 / 14 resists on merciless and 23% physical dmg reduction lol. But I need different helm and shoes and maybe different gloves too. Need effin more links on smth for CWDT set up. Also need to get +2/3 fire damage scepter with high mp regen so i can replace those unique shoes 30% MS would be much better ...

89 pts

This is my current tree.

3.15 k hp and 345 mp regen. Difference between having and not having inner force towards AA is pretty major when u got no armor :(

My target tanky tree:
108pts

108 points cause last 2 points are reserved for whatever I will feel I lack quite a few options available. Gonna try use that build with Alpha's Howl and try use grace > IR , also converts EV from Carcass Jack which hopefully I have by then.... Little evasion doesn't feel like any difference but extra 30% physical dmg reduction will make a difference XD Gonna need high ES shoes / gloves to compensate for Discipline and one of them will have to be hybrid AR / ES so I can roll RRRR for CWDT :s . Complicated ...

Was even thinking to try dual wield + 2 Scepters as budget temporary replacement cause searing touch is so damn expensive >_>. One for searing bond, one for AA , if only my resists were capped with out damn shield.. and if only my mp regen could sustain lvl 22+ AA with inner force lmao.

Edit:
Alright... Bleed my 45 chaos and bought 1 socket ST and then like 3ish stacks of jews and 2 fuse lol and:

:D

Why would you waste 8 points getting down to IR when you could spend those 8 points on 2 armour blocks (and get some resists thrown in for good measure), oh and have 3 points left for something else?
