Thing is these days guys never getting past 80 on HC are posting guides for HC... views are enough to confirm the viability of their build...

The above are threads by people more knowleagable than me and OP - and although outdated - they give valuable clues as to what goes on when playing a trapper.

IR AA and MoM are a powerfull combination - none of the alone is good for mitigating damage. Never said it was... my point is only that the guide claims to be for beyond but actually is only good for rampage or to level to mid 80s and have fun playing risky.

Instead of him bragging about his "fast" 20k views and beginners thanking him for the build cause it clears so fast - I would have liked for him to reach out to top of the ladder players on beyond and ask for a critique on the build

As for me "calling out" is because out of 20 build threads lets say - 15 are by softcore or inexperienced players, 5 are by experienced or good builds - but a 1-2 are new league friendly (don't require currency alot) - and what you find in half the threads is "HC viable" - click on defense tab - see that the guy has zero defenses - has only made a tree with more life = hc viable

I am glad you linked one of Pohx's builds. Pohx a player who you admit knows more than and has more experience than you, started playing Beyond with a build with no defensive mechanism other than the nature of his offensive skill set. He al;so was quite successful with this.

There are many ways to play this game, maybe you should try a few more.

i died 2 times in beyond league, 1 while leveling and other for a dc fighting merc dominus, all my other chars come from old leagues, when they finish i kill all my chars and move the itens to standard, i dont care about lv to 90, i play with my friends 4fun, we dont care about ladder. if you dont wanna do this build, get the *** out of my topic, i have lot of players loving this build playing all leagues, im done with u, go back to your melee build.

Since I'm exceptionally poor, I'm considering options other than searing touch at the moment.

How do you feel about using the Rime Gaze as a 5 link until I get something better?

I could also pick up a cheap 5 link white staff and craft +2 to fire gems on it as well.

Both options seem pretty bad compared to the searing touch, but I don't really have another option until I get more currency.

you are lying to players that this is HC viable - in fact its not... and that makes you even worse.

chad the top on rampage ladder has more survivability and he is playing fire trapper non crit

i suggest you to visit his thread and learn something and stop deleting your lvl 90 (hardcore) characters - and please never ever delete your softcore characters - it would be bad for your "reputation" lol.

and I am not going to go away from this misleading topic - people need to get informed that this is not for beyond... unless they want to lose lots of currency listening to a guy who can't get past 80 on softcore.

if you can get searing touch get it, its good for leveling. if not any cheap wand/sceptre - put in searing bond and increased burning damage and roll with it. i suggest you not to follow OP passive tree unless you want to get one shotted when you are about to start having fun - 70+ and fire trap only gets good very late.

that's why HC player got 100 first right? he either doesn't play as much or died couple times at high levels, which already should indicate if you're high lvl it doesn't mean you're good it just means you play alot.

the guide is fine, if you follow a guide blindly you're a bad player, ALWAYS make your own adjustments based on how you like to play and your own past experiences. this is not an instruction manual, its a guide, which if you don't know means:

No you rely on corpses proliferating a lot and Pyre would remove those corpses.

i tried using pyre and the new morok rings, they're both great, but a ring with life/ mana reg and resists works better for us
