[2.2] Guide for Life based Crit Dagger Reave

Hi, thanks for the great build! I'm working from a Ranger start but doing great so far (lvl 59).

I was wondering, would Alpha's Howl be a decent headpiece if my res. are maxed regardless of the helm? Aside from the loss of life, I'm not sure the advantage a rare would give if I don't need the resists.

Thanks again!
Alpha's Howl does not offer us anything since we neither need mana reservation nodes nor can make use of the +2 to aura gems. The best option is a rare helmet with high life + accuracy rolls and having resists on helmet makes it easier to get good crit jewelry.

OK, awesome, thanks for the prompt response; I was looking at a similar Reave build which used Alpha's Howl (mostly for the +2, I assume) and wondered if it would apply to this build.

In regards to a rare helm, would you think high Eva or high Armor would be better? I'm using a Belly of the Beast and high EVA shield as per your recommendation for 1.3.

Thanks!
An Evasion helmet has better synergy with Ondar's, however rolling the right colors on it can be a pain, so an armor or AR/EV hybrid base are probably more desirable.

The general pathing of the tree seems fine, however I have some reservations about the build:
You are trying to incorporate many different aspects (Block, Crit, Life, ES) into one build that is already really point starved by nature. If you take a closer look at the points that you are forced to give up for the shield nodes, you will see that these are all amazing notables, which have a huge impact on your DPS (Fencing, Aspect of the Panther, Finesse), or provide high utitlity (Heart of the Oak, Mind Drinker).
If you want to play a "true" crit dagger build, going around oneshotting packs with insane cleerspeed, I would therefore suggest to stick to the core of the build.
If you however want to play a tanky block charater that is augmented by some crit, feel free to stick to your build (as I already mentioned, most of the tree is very reasonable for that build). You migth want to reconsider your choice of dropping Mind Drinker though, as this node can often solve most of your mana issues and free up one flask spot.

I am not sure from where you get the 8k life from. In my Ingame Stats section you can see that I have ~5.5k life (or ~6k with Belly). If you still have so few life with lv 80 while following my skilltree, your gear is probably severely lacking life rolls.
You can easily do normal Atziri with this build. For uber you need to play a ranged build (often ST, or TS/Puncture Trap) or get lots of spellblock.
