The redbeak has 100% extra damage or something when on low life, but what is so good about doryani weapon? I'm new to witch and I have limited knowledge towards the stats. Perhaps the elemental damage boost it provides?

Also if I chose to have energy shield instead of rarity on my helmet, chest piece, boots and gloves, does anyone know any good unique pieces ?

All I know is rainbowstride conqueror boots. Probably will get chaos intoc so wont use solaris and shavronne for the chest piece. If I used 2 doryani they dont get affected by low hp or not anyways (not like readbeak and chaos intoc=1hp)


Hopefully Ill be able to run at least clarity, discipline and purity of elements/Haste with my changes in mind.

So I am thinking

Boots: rainbowstrike
Chest:
Gloves:
Helmet:
Weapons: Duel doryani
Rings and Belt: Probably two Le heup iron ring and doryani invitation belt

Yes, but keep in mind that until you level up the gems and get most of the mana reservation passives that you probably won't be able to run Discipline off of health. Before you get to that point, you're looking at one of the Purity auras + Clarity to achieve low life status.

The life leech from Doryani applies to your totems which is a nice boost to their survivability.

Aside from that life leech, doryani's outperforms the dps boost from low-life Redbeaks. The benefit of the Redbeak, is the cost.

Read the original post (at the bottom) where the DPS stepping is outlined for both these weapon options.

Please don't take this as a personal flame, but you are in the wrong thread if you are suggesting CI, dropping a shield, and losing a huge amount of quantity/rarity.

This thread is strictly low life magic farming using BiS MF gear, none of which you plan to use.

Feel free to ask these questions in the gameplay help, or look for one of the many CI witch threads out there.

3 things will greatly improve totem durability. Doryani's Catalyst/anything with +1% fire leech, your gems levels related to the content you are trying to farm, and finally, the specific +Totem Life nodes in the tree.

I am using your exact tree, though I haven't gotten around to getting the last of the totem nodes that provides ele resistance and dmg reduction, I am also using Invitation belt, but still totems die very quickly especially in groups, but I think you're right about the gem's level, its only 16 atm and I have been farming 66-68 maps, maybe I'm just expecting too much too early, thanks, and thanks for the build, it is fun.

Doing level 66-68 maps at level 68 is pretty badass :).

There are lots of folks out there wishing they could do maps at that level. Exp and currency gains are pretty solid in Catacombs, if the totems dying is holding you back.

Remember, it's not your character level that limits the content, it's your totem+support gem level that decides.

Sorry about that Fri3dchick3m. I really wanted to follow this build but not being able to afford the shavronne and to use the solaris(which is armor based) means that I will be missing out on a lot of energy shield and I am afraid I will have too minimal to survive if I used the gear you suggested in your "economy" gear section. Currently I am playing really safe and haven't had any trouble fortunately.

I bought quality flame totem and the quality gives a pretty good totem life boost

No worries at all. The build is not for everyone. Mapping is very doable with the cheap 3400es version, but you need to be a bit more advanced in the passive tree, and understand the limitations of the build (as I've eluded to for the post above yours).

Good luck with the CI build. Flame totem would make a solid base to build on, I'm sure.

Edit: the money I made from this build, has bought me more than a shav's ;)
