Cheap, Tanky, DPSy: Summon Raging Spirit [not updated for 1.3+]

just a quick question. why do you guys use melee splash?

I'm using minion damage, and I have following thoughts:

1. for the other little mobs, no difference, clear quickly anyway.
2. but for the boss, minion damage will more focus the damage on the boss?

Seems to be:
15 at level 20
16 at 23
17 at 25

My SRS witch has gotten up to level 79 now and I've just completed a map - something I would say my greatest accomplishment so far in Beyond league. Screenshot for proof, man I love this build =)

How is it possible to get enough Dex to support Alpha's or high level haste? Even with the two +30 nodes I only have 76. If I got Headhunters it would still only be 124. Looking at OP's gear I did not see Dex on any other piece.

Atziri's Foible is great for this build, gives you lots of mana as well

You need to get dex on rings, gloves, and amu. Atziri's foible is equivalent to 38 dex. I used master craft to add dex to amu.

It may have been answered before, but I'd like some quick tips after an especially hard rip leveling this class last night (I was level 32, instakiled by Storm Call beyonder). May not be high, but I say "rough" because the char I had had all six gems needed (10Q SRS, Spell Echo, Multistrike, Melee Splash, Minion Damage and Melee Phys) all linked in a tabula rasa. Was absolutely devastated and extremely angry, since I was clearing very fast with that early 6L. I've since re-rolled and am now just leveling with glacial cascade (kinda sick of flameblast atm).

My question is what priority should I obtain the links in, and should I level using SRS or no? Do I prioritize getting a 10+Q SRS again immediately? Just spent a huge amount of currency on a 5L +2 fire, increased cast speed staff I can use at lvl 60 so at least I still have that to look forward to. But I'm dirt poor now thanks to that investment. Currently lvl 15 and was rushed by a guild through the rest of normal difficulty. Thanks in advance for tips.

I don't know about beyond. In normal you can level with a 3 or 4L SRS no problems. You can add searing bond to increase your DPS a bit, but it's not necessary.

Oh. I thought this was a build geared toward beyond! Regardless, I suppose that's possible. Really hurting over the loss of my tabula, though. And poe.trade never seems to make me online, even with my procurement and bumps to forum posts in order to sell my stuff.

Whats is stronger for the dps: a 6L +2 or a 5l +3 staff?
