1. No. Attack speed does not affect minions. Cast speed allows you to cast them faster and possibly get more out but that's about it. Only things on gear that affect minions are things that say "x% to minions".

2. SRS is not a melee gem so it will not benefit +2 melee. melee physical damage and multistrike would benefit. You can check by the tags below the name.

I'd suggest following matrixfactor's for leveling. You can switch off EB if you have enough mana and mana regen on gear to use discipline and run arctic armour. While you level you'll change gear a lot so really EB is the way I would go about it too.

Then you can use the passive respec points to get out of it later when you gear is more solid and capable.

Thanks Madcow, its clear. I will use the below staff then, since it has +3 to the melee supports, and with my lvl 3 empower, it will still be +4 to SRS. I am lvl 85 the moment, and with jewelry together i have about 160% mana regen. I have one mod left on the staff, so hopefully i can craft some mana regen on it to get above the 170%.



I am using your adaption of the tree, the one without EB, minus some of the dexpoints, since i have about 100 dex in gloves and ammy.

I was thinking the same thing cloudscraper, eventhough the ragins spirits can die from random projectiles and AOE attacks, they wont be attacked directly. Is it still worth it to have them leech?

3% leech is mainly for reflect maps. It helps significantly, spirits can attack for 1.8sec instead of 1.1sec. It also helps slightly against aoe damage.

Sounds good. It should do well enough I'm sure. And yep, the tree I have on page 26 is what I'm using now. You'll notice I did spec 2 +10dex nodes because I needed the dex. I'll be rearranging my rings/ammy a little over the next week. With the masters allowing crafting I can add some life to one of the rings and perhaps some other useful stats.

I may look at my atziri's foible a little closer and see if that is something I want to use. It's possible I'll be able to cover the dex with gear and respec those 2 points. I may put them into 6% life and perhaps being reaching for unnatural calm for more ES and +1 lightning.

I may skip the curse wheel because I just don't toss the curses out enough. Let alone 2 curses (though may be good for atziri).

Since i have 5 points less then you (also took cast speed in cruel), i took out your dex nodes and also skipped the curse wheel. Its very powerfull i am sure, if you used it consistently. But with spell totem/arc, and recasting spirits, and then one curse, i find it already a lot of casting.

I hunted down this amulet today, to solve the dex problem for now. There are similar ones up for grab, for example with more max energy shield %, but this one had such nice mana and dex boost that i took it for now.

My gear is total crap, not enough HP, but I'm doing fine so far. I have no problems leveling at all and I started using SRS as soon as possible.

Having massive trouble with this build, spirits do worse single target damage than incinerate in the same weapon and that's an AOE skill with no damage nodes... When does this become good??
Have you tried Uber Atziri with 1.2 build yet?
