Midnight Bargain prevents us from going Life based which we "have" to if we decide to go with a 22% cast speed 1H so with the use of EB can help us sustain the spirits with the increased cast speed we recieve.

However, I wouldn't suggest personally to go with inc attack speed for leap slams, as i prefer to get a resistance roll or even Intelligence for eitehr ES, or in my example here, increased mana/regen (which gives us eHP in this specific situation).


But as Matrix states, the staff build does things faster whilst a 1h might be better for hardcore which is why I've been running some test builds. I might hit a 1H again, but this time as a life based player. I think that if i can get a shield such as the Rathpith or a nicely rolled res/HP shield that i can bench HP on it would benefit the build quiet a lot.

Sadly we don't have many days left in Beyond so I have yet to decide if i am to try 1h/shield -> HP,EB,CoD or not.

Just wondering why sidhebreath amulet doesnt seem to be used for this build, seems like it would compliment it very well especially corrupted with an extra 15% minion damage, unless im missing something?, thanks

Its good, up to 35% extra dmg is really valuable, however, you lose out on a lot of important stats on the amulet you would get otherwise.

1. pure req stats
2. up to 45 flat es and 22% increased es
3. intelligence for mana and ES
4. flat mana and mana regen
5. Cast speed..
6. Res

Since the ES version already is pretty glassy and (prob much more important) really heavy on the mana, you need the amulet slot, how juicy sidhebreath may be

Ahh ok thanks for the reply Leary, I understand the points you made, but I suppose considering how rare flat minion damage and minion movement speed is and that other gear pieces could make up for the loss in surivability and stats somewhat, im somewhat surprised its not mentioned as a solid alternative more often, cheers

Hehe, I understand, in this case the reason it isnt mentioned is probably the mana issues, Im gladly still using it for my LL BM summoner tho, so I do think it should be at least mentioned sometimes

Sidhbreath actually seems a good idea considering I don't have q on srs.
I'm gonna try this out

Biggest reason is dexterity, the less points on the tree you have to spend on +30 dex nodes, the better.
One is very hard to avoid, but if you are forced to get more you're screwed. Amulet can help LOADS on achieving easy dexterity.

i still feel pretty squishy tho and need to keep the zombies and sceptres up to get some clear speed

please advice on where i am going wrong and what i need to improve(gear i know)

By pure guess is that you dont get much life on the gear and still try to pick up life nodes over ES nodes. Try to focus on getting a bit more life on the gear while not losing too much ES. To see how a general hyrbid summoner looks like in terms of defense, you might check phox's build out, he has it working pretty well: phox's hybrid summoner. Just to get an general idea, he specs zombies and spectres obv, but that doesnt matter in terms of life and ES he picks up from gear
