I don't know if you play on SC or HC, but anyway you should first head to elemental adoptation to up your max res.
I would put Maligaro's if are where you as soon as I got them ).
Also I would recommend switch your wand to kris, if you are going crit. Anything similiar to this would be much better:

Also if you are on SC, you can get rid of 5 ES nodes and take Celestial walker and Prestidigitation, you really don't need THAT much at lvl 73.

After that you can get boots for double curse and drop all curse nodes like Hex master, Wisper of doom and spend them for more crit chance/damage either near templar or shadow area.

if you play HC, than I would recommend follow the original guide and don't go for crit early.

Hey there, playing HC and doing semi-good. My spark does 230 dmg and is not enough to solo maps (im lvl 70). How can I boost up my damage or will some critt do the work? Or if you got any suggestions on upgrades thats not way way to expensive!

I'm at 500 dps - 9000 ES; lvl 77 HC. Struggling on lvl 71 map solo because dps too low. This nerf gonna be soo bad, cant play in group as well because crappy computer will drop my fps to the ground.

Is it wise to start removing those ES node for crit node ? I should be able to maintain my ES around 7000 - 8000 after substituting few pieces gear. Is that considered safe for running crit build ?

Also, some other question. Is it worth keeping rathpith globe ?

Yes 9000 ES is quite a lot, so probably you should reduce that and put more nodes into crits.

Also, lvl 17 spark, there's your problem.

Once you gems are lvl 20, your dps will be much better.

How much crit chance is 'enough' ?

I am at level 55 with 30% .. I cannot really tell if the crits are kicking in ..

Has anyone tried EK totem? how's that compared to Spark??

I think that 35-40%. is fine
After that Crit damage increase is much easier and profitable.
I atm have 34.8% crit chance and 555% crit multiplier. With 65% cast speed increase I'm quite happy with it.
